This card is here because sliver queen is not to be reprinted and it makes sliver overlord amazing by allowing you to take one of your opponents creatures each time you have three mana and it is untapped. Also it can be tutored up through sliver overlord since it has the type sliver even while it is just a card.

I geuss I see why this card is in here, but I'd have preferred another sliver.

I'm not saying its a bad card, I'm just saying I'd have preferred another sliver instead.

I agree, sir_dwar...it coul've have been used for a better sliver, I guess...

Edit: Oh, I see, nvm...i didn't see the Overlord there...

Also I need to know which card can be removed for a Sliver Queen? please and thank you!!

@Jokergius: I'd take out Necrotic Sliver.

Only useful against tribal decks and with Sliver Overlord. And I'd probably just use the overlord to tutor out cards like winged sliver and might sliver to get around their defenses.

Also, this deck needs Sliver Legion instead of Coat of Arms.

This Card is Also A Wall and Therefore Cannot Attack, Right?!
I know there really isnt a reason for it to Attack, but just for the sake of knowing.

@Smokey

The creature type "wall" has been errata'd, as mm said, so that it doesn't automatically give the wall creature Defender. If a creature has Defender now, be it a wall or otherwise, it must specifically be listed in its text box. Thus, this and all Changling creatures (as well as the old mistform creatures) can now become walls without being automatically given the "this creature cannot attack" clause (namely, Defender).

They did the same thing when they removed the "Legend" creature type. It is now considered the supertype "Legendary", and creatures that were considered the type Legend are subsequently Legendary instead. (Done for reasons pertaining to Legendary lands, enchantments, and artifacts, to reduce confusion for players.)

This plus goatnapper. Turn your opponents creature to all types from Amoeboid, cast goatnapper and you gain control of their creature until end of turn since... this making it all types means it's also a goat.

It's an okay card, it can be used in something like a merfolk or kithkin deck to give a non-type creature benefits.

Useful to retrigger ally abilities at the end of a turn.

combo is myrs then any creature is a myr and thus can be used in a myr deck with galvanizer and also make any other creature into a myr also so yeah combo i believe so

Question: could this guy turn a non-artifact creature into an artifact creature and vice versa? Rules are a little fuzzy.

If so, nice to combo with anti-artifact spells, such as Disenchant and Shattering Pulse.

Note that the combo with Sliver Overlord breaks if you also have Crystalline Sliver or Ward Sliver out, since your Overlord won't be able to target the creature you want to steal. You can fix Ward Sliver by adding a Ghostflame Sliver, though.

Oh, and @TheHandyman: "Artifact creature" is not a creature type, it's a pair of card types. An artifact creature is just a permanent that happens to be both an artifact and a creature. This will, however, make its target a golem, and a scarecrow, and a construct, and a thopter, and so on, even if it's not an artifact creature, because those are all creature types.

Haha! Take that, Emrakul! Now you're no Eldrazi, you're just a big... um... blobby...thing. Which isn't that big a change.

This card actually works wonder's with Precursor Golem. It counts as a golem so any spells can hit this guy as well (assuming you want them too). If a golem is about to get blasted, just remove all creatures types, so it doesn't count as a golem anymore, therefore negating the Precursor's ability. If you want to buff something else that isn't a golem, you can make it one and it will also gain the effect of the spell.

Shows up when you name-search for angel. Is, technically, an angel. That can make your real angels not angels. Or your non-angel creatures into Angel Demon Jellyfish. o_o

It's good...but why did they have to make it so creepy?!?!?!

I figure, since it's a changeling no matter what game zone it's in, it could be fetched from the library using Sliver Overlord yes?

We should just admire this guy's appearance for a while.

Seriously, just look at him.

If we didn't know any better, we might suspect that he is not actually a sliver. But such a notion is ridiculous for multiple reasons.

@CallmeMerry That Precursor Golem combination does not work. Whenever a Golem is the target of a spell or an ability that targets a single golem, before anyone has a chance to react, Precursor Golem's ability triggers. You are then to free to change any creature types you like, and then of course, once those spell(s) and its copies are to resolve, it checks to see if it is legal.

Example:
Step 1) Cast Eyeblight's Ending on Precursor Golem or any Golem.
Triggered Effect: Copy Eyeblight's Ending for each Golem it could target.
- - This also means, if there was a creature that was a Golem and an Elf like Amoeboid Changeling, this creature would not cause a copy to be created.
Step 2) Use Amoeboid Changeling's ability to give target creature Green all creature types.
Step 3) A copy resolves if any...a copy resolves...a copy resolves. You decide the order the copies go on the stack, when they are put on the stack.
Step 4) The original Eyeblight's Ending resolves. And if you use your Changeling on Precursor Golem, upon resolution, the spell would then be an illegal target.
~~ FIzzle Pop ~~ Your spell is countered.

Naturally, whenever anything resolves, each player has a chance to react.

For when you absolutely must give Baneslayer Angel more abilities, you run it with this in a Sliver deck.

A potentially fun combo to use Amoeboid with Ludevic's Test Subject and Moonmist:

1. Tap Amoeboid and target Test Subject
2. Cast Moonmist
3. Since Test Subject is now "Human" it will transform and turn into Ludevic's Abomination

So for 3BlueBlueGreen you get a 13/13 with trample instead of 6BlueBlueBlueBlueBlueBlue :D

Granted, the green/blue combo is a bit of a difficult to pull off, though not as hard now with Return to Ravnica block now added as well as cards from Dissension; Eventide and Alara Reborn. Again, this is a bit of a Johhny combo but a fun idea.

As for the card itself, really great ability that can lead to some fun ideas as you see above. :)
