Actually a very useful card when attacking all out, or against the new Wrath of God from Zendikar (which will not have an anti-regen effect) and Planar Cleansing.

Probably more useful with Day of Judgment, because how often can you count on having to deal with that in a format that Future Sight is legal?

I have a question about this card, say I'm running a hydra deck, I have coat of arms on the field and I just day of judgment'd then used wrap in vigor, would my hydras die from having no toughness or would coat of arms save them?

@capitalR: Coat of Arms would save them, as long as there were more than one hydra in play.

A good card in decks that you summon a decent amount of creatures (green decks).

Overrun+ This

Or

AoE destruction instants (Damnation, Day of Judgement, Wrath of God) is pretty funny too, but ofcourse, rather unpractical xD

Regenerating doesn't cause creatures to lose +1/+1 counters, it removes them from destruction, prevents it before it happens.

dudes.. regenerating taps... this screws you for next turn if you're not careful. Defensively a great card.. offensively.. BEWARE!

You know, I just realized that this will go pretty good on Isochron Scepter. I know there's a lot of good cards to go on the scepter, but in a mono green deck, it might do really well.

This card laughs at Day of Judgement.

@ubii: It only taps if the creature is dealt damage to destroy it (rules 2010, possibly earlier). The definition of regeneration is "Regenerate *permanent*" means "The next time *permanent* would be destroyed this turn, instead remove all damage from it, tap it, and (if it's in combat) remove it from combat."

One could regenerate it during their upkeep and use it just fine for that turn until it's dealt lethal damage or destroyed then it will tap. New rules also mean regeneration has to be up before damage is dealt, which is the declare blockers step in combat or "in response" to a spell/effect.

First strike is a problem for regenerators, notice the text removed from combat. If a first striker does enough damage and you have a regeneration shield, your creature will be regenerated and removed from combat, having done none back to the first striker. I use regeneration in Magic Online, the declare blockers step is the last moment they will let me regenerate my creature to save it. I have also accidentally regenerated my creature during my main phase and it didn't tap as for the reasons above.

So, this spell will only tap those creatures destroyed or dealt lethal damage this turn and the ones that aren't will remain untapped. Imagine if regeneration did tap without lethal/destroy damage, you could cast a nurturing licid, use it on opponents indestructible creature, and during their upkeep keep regenerating causing their creature to be tapped and out of the way pretty much indefinetely. But, it doesn't work like that :)

@Quang, you missed the part on Damnation and Wrath of God where it says "They can't be regenerated."

This card is rather good, but the art makes me feel a bit queasy. Gigantic placentae.

"wrap in vigor" sounds like an inspired condom advertisement.

If you like this one, and can splash black, check out Golgari Charm; it has two other possible modes in addition to this.
