Very useful in my RG Creature Deck in combination with other cheap creatures and Overrun as a finisher.

2 mana for a 3/3 that is sacrificed if you play a creature or next turn. Seems pretty bad to me....

It has summoning sickness, so when would this ever be helpful? It requires something else to give it haste to be worth anything.

It's like a Serra avenger, except terrible.

Esprel, playing a creature doesn't sacrfice it, it makes it last another turn

This can drop effectively on turn 3, or 2 if you have mana acceleration or free creatures.
Serra Avenger necessarily comes just a tad later, late enough for this guy to have swung in and have taken a hit out of you already.
Besides, there a various advantages to being an artifact(AHEMtempered steelCOUGH), which Serra Avenger just doesn't get.

Play with Precursor Golem, if you don't mind putting multiple eggs in one basket.

You could make use of Norin the Wary, since Norin returns to play at the end of any turn you attack or play a spell you would have an abundance of time counters on this guy. It's the only use of Norin I've been able to come up with.

@ Kane222: Only combintaion with Norin the way??!! Try Confusion in the ranks

@ Card:

a 3/3 Artifact creature for 2 Mana is a good deal, you will have to play a lot of cheap and quick creatures, well but that is the price for being cheap :P

3/3 for 2 and an artifact is nice, I don't know what you guys are talking about. And if you put this guy in a deck, there's obviously gonna be a decent amount of creatures in it anyway. This is at least a 3.5/5 imo

A good colorless creature in a deck that produces tokens.

Obviously needs some support, probably a token generator, but overall, I like him. He's an intelligently designed card.

Save memnites for T2 this guy, then use Splicers and eventually Precursor Golem

I definitely think he's worth more than he looks. A 3/3 for 2 is a pretty great bargain. Even if you fail to get anything out after him, he makes a good blocker.

Also, he uses counters. Those are always abusable.

Would have been so much better and more forgiving with Vanishing 2.
This way, you'll either have to play it later with a one-drop, or pull out a free creature after dropping it immediately.
