In my opinion, this is the best of his cycle. However, they're all OVERKILL!!

Vorosh's ability certainly is the "timmiest" of all these three-coloured dragon legends and was therefore underestimated and considered dumb at first. Fact is that all 10 dragons (if you are counting the five versions from Invasion as Arachibutyrophobia did) just take out a blocker and do nothing else if something gets in their way. But, as FirstPrime has already suggested, Vorosh can end the game alone in very short order if he stays unchecked (he is the only one who just needs to hit three times, the other nine dragons need four attacks). Resistance to most black removal helps and if you can activate his ability just once, he should be out of reach for red damage spells. Last but not least: great artwork.

Since you need blue to play him anyways make sure you keep a few counterspells in your deck to stop him from being a removal magnet.

... the merman thingy in high tideis totally my deity of choice. this card is big and awesomeish, with some weird couner abuse tricks, but nothing too great. the art is just generally dragonish...

Any reason you can't pay the {2}{G} more than once when he deals combat damage? Nothing seems to be stated on this card that would suggest otherwise and there are no oracle statements on the front page.

beautifully powerful. my favorite thing to do with him is to use with rafiq, allowing him to do exactly 20 dmg in one turn. and if by any any chance that isn't good enough he can do 44 the next turn. this is the essence of timmy

Forget doubling season, get this guy a Gilder Bairn on back up, and if Vorosh hits you ONCE, he will be a 18/18... and then a 30/30... and then a 54/54, all in very short order, thanks to cards like Twitch and Fatestitcher (and that's if he just sits there and doesn't attack... the Gilder Barrin works so beautifully with this).
And even better, it's in the color scheme. I am now officially bleeding black into my +1/+1 counter deck.

: graft, +1/+1 counters. : devour, so I can sort of understand it's flavour. Still kinda weird. would have expected some sort of hand manipulation, but with green primary, I can understand. Goes great with Might Emergence, Gilder Bairn, and Proliferate. Power Conduit is also a good choice.
Infect/Proliferate EDH deck? Pump Vorosh once, and then swing him with a Tainted Strike for the win?

@ TPmanW: The reason no one mentioned Soul's Fire is because Vorosh's ability requires combat damage and Soul's Fire does not deal combat damage. It would be decent after you have already pumped Vorosh a time or two, but would not allow you to use his ability to pump himself.
With blue, black and green, you should be able to get him through for combat damage without much problem. You can give him fear, trample or simply make him unblockable with those colors. And he's already flying anyway. Shouldn't really need to resort to spells like Soul's Fire.

predetor strike seems to me like the best card, cheap +3/+3 trample, cant think of anything that could stop this guy when he is a 9/9 trampling flier, and dont forget deathtouch and what that does when mixed with trample... also when in a deck with graft, this guy will be amazing.
also Fate Transfer would be good for if someone has an answer to this guy when he has counters on him, then he wont go to waste

The reason no one mentioned Soul's Fire is because Vorosh's ability requires combat damage and Soul's Fire does not deal combat damage. It would be decent after you have already pumped Vorosh a time or two, but would not allow you to use his ability to pump himself.
