Yeah, the name on the flavor text is kind of retarded. But this card is seriously a cornerstone in my madness/hellbent deck. 5 damage for 1 mana AND I get to discard a card? HELL YEAH. In other decks, Lightning Bolt is significantly better, but in a madness/hellbent? NO burn card can beat this. HANDS DOWN the BEST. For madness/hellbent.

The flavor text seems to be a reference to Sauté, which is kinda weird since it's an unglued card. Then again, all of time spiral was kinda weird so...
Also very good for decks with threshold.

Add to a Pyromancer Ascension deck? Although those builds are have so many tools already, this thing dumps a card in your graveyard before it's even cast, should you choose that option. You can ditch on Lightning Axe to the cost for another, and the discarded axe will be in the graveyard before the one you're casting is considered cast, giving you a counter on your ascension, and one step closer to taking out twoBaneslayer Angels.

Dark Withering is a great card to pitch to this. For {R}{B} you probably get the equivalent of two Terminates early game (it's unlikely that both the creatures you want to take out are resistant to one of the spells unless your opponent is mono-black, although allowing regeneration is unfortunate), and if you're running hellbent it helps empty your hand in the meantime.
For maximum use, discard Fiery Temper. 2 mana, 8 damage.

This card references Lava Axe only it deals damage to creatures instead of players. It's drawback can actually work in your favor thanks to all the Madness cards in Time Spiral.

This card only fits into certain decktypes, but is incredibly powerful in those decks.
Easily ruins somones day when they reanimate Kaervek on T2. Yeah, I'll take 1 measly damage to kill your Legend from hell. Also, Anger is now in my graveyard so Ill just drop this Kird Ape right here...
