Ancient Grudge is a tournament sideboard staple which sees no play in casual because pure artifact destruction is too narrow if you can't cycle it (Scrap), or don't build your deck around it (Thran Forge or Neurok Transmuter) or have no spellshaper or other discard outlet handy.
That said, it is a good card at what it does.

You got to feel for poor Shatter. It's cards like this that have made it useless in pretty much any format.

Not bad but I still prefer shattering spree for my red artifact removal.

shattering spree is the best narrow removal, it feels better to use, makes your opponents gasp, and looks amazing to boot.

it's a natralize with dredge synergy.

Strictly better than Shatter.

However, because of flashback, strictly less reprintable than Shatter.

Works surprisingly well with the Punishing Fire + Grove of the Burnwillows combo, even though those cards have nothing to do with artifacts. (Qasali Pridemage is usually better if you can splash white, but not all R/G decks can).

I love the Tarmogoyf reference in the artwork :)

(for those who don't get it, Cloverfield was a movie about Tarmogoyf.)

@Axelle

Innistrad is bringin' on the Flashback. And this is getting a reprint. OH YEAH! :D

Sweet 2-for-1s. So. . . does this mean Zoo will become a deck with Innistrad in Standard?

Yeah, that's right.
I'm still mad about you tinkering out that Phyrexian Colossus on me ten years ago.
Relinquishing grudges is for the weak!

Anyone else love how the flavor text references fires in Yavimaya? Add up all the mana symbols on the card, and you get Fires of Yavimaya itself. Pretty cool!

An homage to Judgement's Ray of Revelation.

Each Time Spiral card was an homage to at least one previously printed card.

This card is referencing Ray of Revelation as well as Primitive Justice.

Shatter now, Oxidize later. Sweet.
