Really not a bad uncommon. first ability yes, second one IDK, saves your artifacts when you play a shatterstorm I guess.

it can only target an artifact creature... so its still a creature afterwards.

No, izzet guildmage is right, look at the rulings. In most cases that would be true, BUT the 3rd ruling specifically says that if it targets an artifact that is only a creature because of March of the Machines, it loses the artifact type and can't be a creature because March of the Machines only makes artifacts into creatures, and is therefore a permanent with no types.

if played in a multicolored deck, you could use it to change the color of non blue creatures by turning them into artifacts, then blue creatures, all tho, i cant think of how that would be useful in any possible situation....

This would also prevent it from attacking or blocking for the turn, since only creatures can do that! That's really cool, I want to try that just for the weirdness.

Splash Black for Magus of the Abyss in a mostly artifact deck and for just {U}{U} each turn you can prevent yourself from losing any creatures to the abyss.
