good concept, but regrettably far too overcosted... :(

Definitely an excellent zombie. Overcosted? At 2BB, you cast this guy as early as turn 3, with another pump card like Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Cemetery Reaper, and just start blasting your opponents field for {B} per turn... In my zombie deck, anything you can't kill with this or Nameless Inversion, you force your opponent to sacrifice with Fleshbag Marauder and Call to the Grave.

At the very least, ~'s unusually high toughness for a zombie makes for a good blocker, which you can EOT destroy something on an opposing field. IMO, if you aren't playing this card, it's one of two things: Your playing a more aggro heavy build, or your doing it wrong.

haha um @CXA26483... what? if you are playing it, id say because you dont have enough zombies in your deck. at EoT, assume its dead in any competitive game, considering his toughness dips to three as soon as you start to activate, and from there its just a tradeoff. Total waste of mana every turn. Just use a terror once, rather than pay a lot upfront for no immediate effect.

@CXA26483: You've got a very good point. In a Zombie deck, all those lords should be able to pump Unliving Psychopath to the extend that he can also take down larger threats easily. The relatively high toughness for a Zombie is also nice. At 4cc, you'd usually be casting something like Death Baron before him, leaving you with a handy 1/5 deathtouch blocker until you start using him offensively. Nameless Inversion can also pump him up in case you're in need of mana, so you might also be wise in running it in favor of Doom Blade and whatnot.

Also, another card that really makes this card good is Undead Warchief. It solves all the problems with high manacost and low power that one may have. As CXA26483 said; either you're playing too aggressively to include this guy, or you're doing it wrong.

@Flavortext
Considering they live in Ravnica, is this really a rare occurrence? I mean really, half the city is undead for goodness sake.

This is the best Zombie I've stumbled upon in a long while. Four things get me VERY excited about using this guy in my U/B Zombie deck...

Diminish, Steady Progress, and obviously Death Baron and Cemetery Reaper.

I want 4 NOW.

The "word" unliving makes me feel sad, but I love this card.

It's un-living because it isn't un-dead.

I just tried this guy out for the first time and he served me very well in a multiplayer match.
The 4 toughness kept casual attacks away and when I stuck a Bonesplitter on him people couldn't
reach for their removal fast enough.
I consider anything that buys me that much time and wastes so much of my opponent's resources is a good deal.

I think what makes this guy pretty good is his ability to pick off utility creatures. Yes, he's expensive to get out, but still, any creature that hits the field after he shows up he can pick off if they're weak enough (and if you get him out quick enough in various ways, it's not as bad). Give him some other kinds of pump and you got yourself a pretty useful creature.

It's alright. Not that great, but not terrible.

The flavor text makes me think a Ravinica crime novel series would be boss, though.
