Nice card to use in a multicolor deck - and to draw cards when needed by attacking after a giant growth or pump up - also a way to get rid of a card in hand that will not be used also to pump up the GLINT +1+1
but how many cards may be discarded in this way ? one or more than one based on one TAP for activation cost ?

You have to tap one colorless mana each time you want to use the ability.

All of the nephilims become quite fun when combined with the dual color enchantments like Helm of the Ghastlord. This guy can be great acceleration if you can work it well enough.

Nephilims need Pathmages. Or at least this one and Yore-Tiller do. Actually Dune-Brood would be nice for that too, too bad it has 3 power....

what an underated card - no buddy got the message that you need to you Blessing of the Nephilim and Might of the Nephilim in order to use (you guessed it) Nephilim cards successfuly, and turn the restrictive mana costs into an advantage. I have two in my "Gold" (multicolor) deck, never failed me before, effects fine to.
4/4.5 out of 5. (for the low rating, i will boost it up with the 4.5, respectively...)
Glint-Eye is probably the least impressive of all the Nephilim. It doesn't have a real grandiose ability, like Radiating spells or spitting out gross amounts of tokens. It has a very self-synergistic ability, and I like that. But I think what really hurts it is adding that one colorless mana to the activated ability. Would it have made a four-color, four-mana 2/2 a complete game-breaker to make it a little more similar to Wild Mongrel? I seriously doubt it. But it would have improved the card a lot for the Johnny crowd, wanting to abuse this cycle of creatures.

should have the "eye" creature type... really missed their opportunity there

I was going through my collection the other day and saw this guy, and he reminded me of someone from Magic's recent history who also has a distinct lack of a head: Kozilek

What's so not white? A creature that draws you tons of cards in a weird way is so not white.

Slap a Might or Blessing on this dude and draw from 6-9 cards. Since you're running green, you can do this on about turn 3.

Too much color weight. Four colors are always too much, and this is a 2/2 for FOUR mana with a very interesting ability. However, don't forget about Dwarven Warriors! Concerning the artwork, this is one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen...

The Nephilim with the best-thought-out color combination. gives card draw for damage (check out Cold-Eyed Selkie), while gives pump for discard. If only it was stronger, it would be akin to Psychatog, but alas, Wizards were probably concerned about unbalancing the Nephilim cycle.
Here's hoping for a legendary, mythic approach to the Nephilim in the next Ravnica set.

The least impressive of the Nephilim, and still a powerhouse in the right hands. The cost is restrictive, yes, but with support this guy could be a brutal beater and a help sift through your deck for your other insane cards. Combos well with Yore-Tiller Nephilim as well. Discard something, then bring it back with Yore-Tiller. Ta dah!
Helm of the Ghastlord or Clout of the Dominus maybe? Both pump it up, one gives additional draw plus discard, the other protects. All you need is something to make it unblockable.
Ink-Treader, Dune-Brood, and Glint-Eye I think have some of the best mechanics of the Nephilim, but the one thing I'm not sure if I like is that the triggers for all the Nephilim are jumbled, but they're not FIVE different triggers.
One to trigger on Dies? (non-Black) MUST
One to trigger on Spells cast? (non-Blue) One to trigger on Enters Battlefield? (non-Green) One to trigger on Attacks? (non-Red) One to trigger on Combat Damage? (non-White)
^these 4 you could rearrage in a few different ways. Ophidian for the non-Blue, Attacks for White, Combat Damage for Red, for example.
Or Enters the Battlefield for White, Combat Damage for Green, Attacks for Red, Spells cast for Blue
Or Attacks for Green, Enters the Battlefield for Red, Spells for Blue, Combat Damage for White.
I feel like having these Weird Trigger abilities is the best way to go with them. I also feel like there's a TINY bit of room to make Moar Nephilim cards. NOT A LOT. But a little.
Since a Recon Errata to make them Legendary is not likely (they HAVE the power, or someone does, but they're choosing mostly not to use it-- or not to use it YET, probably because they don't want to do it unless it becomes absolutely necessary)
Nephilim are a race of ancient beings from Ravnica, MUCH like the Eldrazi are a race of ancient beings that live on Zendikar (besides Nephilim not being planar travel-capable and thus definitely being native to Ravnica) In the Original Ravnica Block story, Niv-Mizzet SUPPOSEDLY fought and killed the Last Four of them.
Two Things:
In EITHER Ravnica's distant Future or distant Past, it would be QUITE easy to write in that the Nephilim aren't extinct after all. So IF you have the chops to make cards for them, fitting New Nephilim into the Story would be easy.
Second, to make MYTHIC Rare Nephilim, we'd want to capture just about Exactly something "Greater than a Titan, smaller than Progenitus"
They require FOUR colors of mana concentration to summon! they're EPIC. BUT, Progenitus is definitely more powerful than, say, any two of them. (The Five put together would take more than Progenitus to put down. Maybe all 5 Praetors, or Progenitus plus a Parun or two have the Power to do it. Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker would need very little assistance, but he'd need SOMETHING. He'd have it, because he's GREAT at finding pawns, having ancient spells and artifacts, and stuff like that. Remember, imagine Big, Cool, Mythic Rare Legends like we always wanted. This is roughly the Power terms we need to speak in.)
TO THAT END: The New, Mythic Rare, Legendary Nephilim could have a CMC of 8, with a Progenitus-style casting cost: CCDDEEFF. OR, maybe a Reaper King style? Would that be acceptable? You could technically cast them for colorless, but they'd all cost more than Emrakul by a mana? That seems. Doable.? It would help their combat stats for sure!
