although it's not a very strong card, it's still a buffed version of Melee.

Ineresting card. I see a lot of combo potential in it.

Hi,

I got a general question concerning this card. If I'm right you can actually use it to choose/decide EVERYTHING about combat meaning

- IF a player attacks AT ALL (You could just say "Alright, no combat this turn!", couldn't you?)
- WHICH PLAYERS that player is going to attack
- IF the defending player blocks
- HOW the defending player blocks

So basically everything, right? A friend of mine who actually uses this card seems to think that you're only allowed to decide HOW someone blocks WHEN he's already decided to attack. But since you gotta play this card BEFORE attackers are declared you're bound to decide whether the player attacks or not, too, right?

I'm german and maybe it's too obvious actually...^^

@Schlappi
Sorry, it doesn't say that you choose who the creatures attack. :/
How this works is you play it as a response when they declare their attack phase, and tell them which creatures they must attack with, and they choose which creatures attack which players. Then you tell the defending players which creatures they can block with. This is great if you build up a ton of creatures, so you can make them go all out (whether or not they want to), and if they target you, they lose their creatures, and either way, unless they have vigilance, they are wiiiiiiiiiide open.
In single player, the real point of this is to make your stuff unblockable, remove their attack phase and/or block all their small stuff with your big stuff.
Of course, this would be AWESOME in a black-white deck with "batwing brume." Play this against agro, play "batwing brume," preventing all combat damage, and making them take 1 damage for each attacking creature. Then they are wide open (though they can play creatures on their second main phase after their combat phase,) and you attack all out with "waves of aggression." Or run this in a Naya deck (white-red-green) and fog, then attack while they are open.

I like it, I feel terrible when I waste it on being a 4 mana Fog but it's definitely been some fun in chaos's to ruin everyone's carefully planned out armies by making them crash into eachother.

I've had my creatures butchered so many times by this and Fight to the Death...

Basically makes all your creatures unblocked. Has other potential when played on your opponent's turn, such as running into a Tangle.

Master Warcraft, Fight To The Death and Lightning Helix are some fun red-white spell cards XD And I thought black-white had some great duel color cards-- but red-white have a number of good ones!

Like one (Rare) enchantment that gives your creatures +2/+0 on your turn and +0/+2 on any other turn, just the card's name excapes me...

This card says "You choose how each creature blocks this turn", not "You choose which creatures block this turn". Therefore the defending player chooses which creatures they want to block with, then you choose which attacking creature each blocking creature blocks.

Great artwork and very flavorfull card. Extremly versitile. The only downside is if your playing vs a guy who has no creatures.

Glory of Warfare
Yes, R/W has had some serious advantages with Ravnica,
I'd like to point out their Balefire Liege...

Well, now that you've mastered it, I guess it's time to go play starcraft.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's funny that Zoltan Boros drew the art for a Boros card.

Just had my first encounter with this card. So very, very brutal. I was playing a Concerted Effort deck based around making my creatures pretty much perfect. Prot creatures, prot monocolored, protmulticolored, flying, double strike, all that jazz, as well as a few creatures with lifelink to begin with.

Opponent was playing a pretty standard Boros deck that wasn't doing too much to me. Yet he alpha struck every time he got Master Warcraft. It's card advantage for some, unblockability for others, and fog for others. The versatility of the card is what makes it so good.

Now I need to find a way to abuse it. >=)

Also, Fight to the Death, all your creatures are destroyed.

I love that this is a Red or White Boros card illustrated by an artist named Boros.

"Master Warcraft 2R/WR/W, Place one Level 80 Tauren Shaman onto the field under your control, One Level 80 Death Knight onto the Field under your control, and One Level 80 Night Elf Huntress onto the field under your control. Sacrifice all Girlfriends in play at the beginning of the end step."

This, Wojek Siren, and Hide are notable for being the only Boros cards illustrated by Zoltan Boros.

Also, as indicated by the Oracle text, you do get to choose which creatures block.

Might as well read "Your creatures are unblockable this turn."

Me: I play Master Warcraft
Opponent: -ragequits-
Me: Doesn't matter, I would have killed you anyway!

This is an awesome card for those who don't value their friendships
