You can end up with Two Legendary Samurai with: Bushido1, 4/3, and Haste who only cost 3 CMC each! Once, I had equipped one with Konda's Banner and the other with Tenza, Godo's Maul. These bros hook it up!

A cheer for Wizards for creating an alternate artwork for this card.
It's reasonable that they stopped printing alternate artworks from different artists for the same card in the same set. (See Fallen Empires' variations of Icatian Infantry for example.) Aside from basic lands, a card should in general be ássociated with its artwork. But making an exception by creating a second artwork (from the same artist) with a distinct relation for a legend which is intended to exist twice was a great idea!

I think the design of Brothers Yamazaki is brilliant. It's really flavorful, the artwork is good and the cards are actually pretty good compared to their manacost once you've got both on the field.
Hey, its a legendary that would be a good idea to run x4. Only downside, unless you pull 2... this card is just a 2/1.. "3/2" for In my opinion, should have been 2/2.. "3/3". Would have brought him out of ping & bear range without his brother.
5 stars for being interesting, 3 stars for development and game play. Final rating 4 stars.

Having two out give each +2/+2 so both would end up as 4/3 and 5/4 with Bushido. Learn some math.

I like how the legendary rule technically applies to this card when only one is in play. It's just so silly to think about.

My friends and I have an EDH house rule that states that you can have two of these in your deck.

Interesting with M14 rules. One player has two of these out, fine, then another player plays one and the first player has to chose one to die. But a few more come out from other players? no problem.

Why is this brother rated lower than the other one? They're the same card...

Philosoraptor asks: If one card represents Brothers Yamazaki, and you're allowed to have two in play, precisely how many brothers are there?
(Five, according to legend; seven, according to R.E.M.)

So if you have this as your EDH general, I'm guessing you can't actually get much use out of him, as you're only allowed one copy of each card in your deck. You should be able to use both as your general (so one, both, or none in your general zone at any one time). Now that would be cool.

Brother 2: "Nothing much, looking good!"
Brother 3: "Wassup, what'd I miss?"
Brothers 1 & 2: "AWWW COME ON!"
