Why is this rated 2.5? You lose two cards in order to get one less mana than you spent to use it. This card is horrible.

Use it on a creature that will be destroyed in the end of turn and you get the casting cost back.

Kinda pointless when Dark Ritual already exists. I mean, yeah, you could sacrfice something huge, but what would you do with the mana? Cast another huge creature? And if you already have the mana to get the huge creature out, why use Sacrifice? At least it can be used in response to some other effect potentially killing the victim.

Sacrifice a high-cost creature with unearth like Extractor Demon. Or anything with recursion. Its not a bad card, just a card that needs to be built on for it to roll. And then it rolls well.

Other than scornful egotist, theres not much potential here. Also if you maybe have a mortician beetle deck this would be ok but overall mediocre.

This card is far from terrible. Sacrifce your wurmcoil engine to get a blightsteel, Just one fricken example.

This combo's amazingly well with cards like Cathodion. The amount of mana this can give early game is amazing.
