Unfortunately as opposed to Pentavus, you can only play its abilities at sorcery-speed... Yet the tokens have flying at least, and it's still a colorless 3/3 flyer for 5, so it's not that bad after all.
Coat of Arms seems like a good idea. Turns a 3/3 flier into a 3/3 flier with 3x 4/4 buddies.

With Doubling Season, more thopters seem to keep popping out of hiding.

I can't make my mind up on which to use in my Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker EDH deck: Thoptor Squadron or Triskelavus. Triskelavus is beefier and the tokens can be removed at instant speed, but once I remove all the counters from triskelavus, he won't go to the graveyard as a state based effect like Thoptor Squadron would. And, Thopter Squadron is CMC 5, 2 less than Triskelavus. Decisions decisions!
Meh. The sorcery-speed of the abilities makes it near-useless... Just use Pentavus.

Took this over Pentavus in my Hanna, Ship's Navigator EDH, since it can interact with Ornithopter and Thopter Assembly just in case I -really- need that extra power and toughness. Plus it's cheaper, which helps get it out earlier than Pentavus could.
