Playing a strict vampire deck with Kalastria Highborn you wind up pumping him and dealing damage/gaining life. I'm gonna have some fun with that combo.
If you choose not to sacrifice a creature and he has no +1/+1 counters, then HIS HEAD EXPLODES INTO CANDY AND HE MAULS YOUR AUNT

Combine this guy with kalastria high born and blood ghast, yes sir.
This is possibly the most fitting flavour of a vampire: When he feeds, he grows stronger, when he doesn't feed, he grows weaker, and he can fly when he focuses (or alternately, turns into a bat, flies to the opponent, turns into a vamp, strikes, turns into a bat and flies back). Very nice.

I know I'm uninformed, but was crovax always a vampire, that would explain alot. but if he had this ability when he was traveling with the weatherlight crew, I wonder what they sacrificed...
Alternatively, you can go old school and just use Breeding Pit.

Crovax wasn't always a vampire. This card is depicting Crovax at the exact moment he killed Selenia, Dark Angel (hence the feathers in the art). At that moment the curse was placed on Crovax to be a vampire for the killing Selenia (see Death Stroke).

The one and only vampire that Wizards got right. Vampirism is a curse...

Reminds me of Ravenous Vampire.
