You can't really compare Sorcery effects to Creatures because Creatures normally have (like that card) summoning sickness, while Sorcery's have a one time ability after it is used. Though I must agree, most cards that would spam this ability would be better off using a one turn wait with Goblin Welder. , one turn delay, endless uses, 1HP vs One time use
xD really, depends on the situation, but in most Welder would be much better.
How is thiscard 3.8. ok goblin welder is better but play bot in a deck artifact oriented and see the power of this kind of tutor. I mean in basic example use to sacrifice one of the token of i died wurcoil engine to resurrect it or one of the tokens of precursor golem to return it or other artifact and the other golems not die because trash for treasure sac is not a target. This card muts be 4.5

Well, this is a sorcery so it can't be killed by a strong wind like the Welder can. Also the Welder is a tap ability so can't be played first turn, you know basics of the game.

This card is actually pretty nice. Nothing like pitching an Inkwell Leviathan to an Artificer's Intuition to fetch up a Memnite, then sacrificing the Memnite to Trash For Treasure to reanimate the Inkwell Leviathan. Alternatively, since sacrificing the artifact is part of the cost to cast TFT, you could use TFT to recycle a Triskelion or Grim Poppet that's used all of its counters by sacrificing them to TFT's cost to cast then bringing them back with TFT's resolution.
At a reduced power level and in a color that has few ways to exploit artifacts, (trust me, you don't actually want to be reduced to running this with Shatter except in Draft, and I'm not sure you -can- draft Shatter and this. Maybe Sealed Deck.), this card is still raking in a solid 4 Stars. I like this version a lot.
If one recalls how Twincast and Reverberate and Redirect and Swerve have been playing tennis on the color wheel, I think this Red Version of Tinker would also be good to see in Blue.

saved my ass a few times indeed, especially with modular
