Because if your opponent has a big hasted creature, you don't want to wait until after it's got it's first attack to slap that Pacifism on it.

This card is pure fun in casual play. I'd love to have some.

"Having kids."

You know that's not what he really would have said.

Shouldn't this card be in weatherlight? I mean, the flavor text...

Love it when creatures change the rules of the game. Especially when they're cheap!

This and Mark of Eviction looks like a fun control gimmick, since it allows you to repeatedly return creatures your opponent just cast (and after having countered spells you don't want to resolve at all).

They should go back to the original wording, that way you can cast most of Theros, Born of the Gods, and (probably) Journey to Nyx with flash.

@robox: They shouldn't have the "old" wording at all. That would functionally change how the card works. The card always let you cast auras as though they had flash, it's just that auras weren't always called auras. I can't say that changing this from working with 700+ auras - which will only get more and more cards every set, some of which are removal - to less than 100 enchantment creatures would be a good thing.

Certainly aura removal like Pacifism and Journey to Nowhere would benefit from being instant speed, but also effects like Aspect of Mongoose that could essentially counter spells after drawing out the removal, which casting on your turn wouldn't do. I'm sure there are plenty of other awesome things that could be done with instant-speed auras. There are 700+ of them, after all, so go digging through Gatherer and have some fun planning a Bruna, Light of Alabaster deck.
