@Ryney: AND it's an Instant. Not a great card, but not bad either.

destructive force is better, even if it has a less awesome flavor text.

Cast this after having played Fire Servant...Go suicide bomber on all your opponents.

The card is pretty good. An x= Earthquake is about the same but doesn't hit fliers and is sorcery speed, but you can tune it to only kill the smaller creatures; this is pretty much total destruction all the time. But this card has its uses. I would give it 3.5/5.
Then I read the flavour text.
5/5.

I hate cards where you can kill yourself

The best thing about the card is that it has no need for subtlety. Massive board sweeping at instant speed can be lethal, and that's where this thing shines. And if you happen to kill an opponent in the process, even better. Well-priced for what it does.
Jaya Ballard flavor text is why we need her to come back. She was a planeswalker, I'm sure they could make some excuse to bring her back. Chandra just doesn't cut it.

As always, Jaya Ballard's flavor text is great (for another good one see Incinerate. And this is a pretty decent card if you want to end a game quick, and if you want to keep a creature alive, give it Whispersilk Cloak.

@deadeye1387, Whispersilk Cloak wouldn't interact with this at all, since this doesn't target. What you want is something that either gives a ton of toughness, like Slagwurm Armor, or prevents damage, like protection (say, from a Sword of Fire and Ice).
Oh, and it's really simple to tell if something targets (and thus is stopped by shroud): If it says the word "target" on the card, it targets. This doesn't.

Kind of eerie how much this card syncs up with the new Balefire Dragon (or rather, how much Balefire syncs up with this).

It would be cool if they reprint this with picture of Balefire Dragon descending from the sky

This is disturbing. I agree with the Jaya Ballard Fan Club.....but I checked every edition. I don't really like any of the artworks.
We need to get rid of Chandra, bring back Jaya, and reprint this card with Jaya text and a Balefire Dragon :)
(I actually like Chandra- however, it seems that Red has a sadly very shallow Design space for Walkers, so one way to shake things up and be 'fresh'- one amazingly obvious epic way- is to simply bring back a well loved character and let the story-telling do the work of being cool. Unless, somehow, they invent new mechanical tech to allow a Planeswalker to have Red Elemental Blast as an ability? How would that work? How much loyalty would you have to charge in Blue for Countering on a Planeswalker?)

Well, WoG costs 4 cmc and annihilates 10/10 regenerates. This thing cost 3 more and is terribly inefficient for creatures compared to white.
But its red and it also burns the player, not to mention instant speed.

I remember putting 2 of these in a deck and my friends laughed. Later that night, I inferno'd on consecutive turns for the win, after annihilating their large armies. Satisfaction guaranteed.
