I also like it with Pyrohemia. How much damage can I do to everyone?

This card is amazing...

Some examples:
1) Burn a few creatures and stack 2 damage onto choice targets. Makes arc lightning my best friend xD 9 damage four colourless
2) Offensively, with your weenies and when he blocks you use this to mop up his mid sized creatures. Also great as a deterrant.
3) Defensively, use with your chump blockers and light up all the attackers.
4) Use something that does one damage to everything... then use this to destroy anything less than 3 toughness on the board. A clean slate potentially deal 9 damage to all creatures and only one damage to players.
5) Gets around not being target of spells or abilities.
6) Combine with Repercussion for crazy fun.

Best way to amplify ANY damage in ANY turn since it's an instant <3 LOVE the way it saves the rest of the burn cards in my hand for where I really need them. Always run four in any burn deck.

More RW-ness. Just cast it to kill fatties and walls after your weenies' first strike damage hits.

I feel like this card wants a Jaya Ballard quote. Something like:
"Why would you add insult to injury when you can just add more injury?"

Cards like this is why i hate the new rules.
If I attack with a 3/3, and they triple block with 1/2 or 1/3s I can only kill one. You should be able to poke each one for one, then follow up with this to kill them all.
Stupid new rules changing things that didn't need to be changed.
It's like Maro said- "We played for months and never noticed a difference" so he thought they could get rid of them.
But when they do come up it's stupid we don't even have that option anymore.

Seems like a random reprint.

Ahh, i remember loving that card. I think this was in my first Mirrodin booster or something, i really liked the effect as a new player and had fun playing it either as a combat trick or after casting a (mass) burn spell.

I think this would make a neat Core Set reprint. A simple effect, yet it practices strategical uses of cards since by itself this card won't do anything.

I could also imagine this being interesting on a Spellshaper...

Goes nicely with Fire at Will.

Works nicely with Chandra's Fury

Alternatively in R/W with lightmine field

Simple way to do things: Chandra's fury at your opponent then this. Three damage to each of their creatures plus four to them, all for six mana.

If only Grapeshot was an instant... you could follow up a stream of burns with this spell, then stack on a highly-stormed Grapeshot targeting a bunch of things for some painful follow-up.

A vicious followup to an overloaded Electrickery.
