This is, in my opinion, one of the best Blue cards in the game. If you are not interested in playing Standard, toss a playset of these and a couple Miraris into your deck - wonderful.

This should get nothing less than a five. For five mana, you take your opponents best fatty. If they kill it, no big deal, it's not like it's yours anyway

One of the few good cards in 8th edition, not reprinted because WoTC knew that kids hate annoying blue spells.
Geez. This card is BRUTAL. Odds are that the creature you find will have a converted cost of more that , so this is actually really cost effective, not to mention fun. If you're running black, though, and you know your opponent will probably play this, you should remove all your creatures and replace them with 4 Phage the Untouchables, just to have an equivalent amount of fun.

Fun card against vintage Oath of Druids deck if you can ever get it out.

I absolutely love this card. I like to use it against my friends Eldrazi deck. Steal Emrakul, the Aeons Torn for 5 mana? Cant beat that. The only problem is if you are playing a small creature deck, perhaps a goblin deck
This card would've been nice to have many copies of following the Rise of Eldrazi pre-release:
Hey, Emrakul, I see you eye-ing that Lamborghini. You would be able to score many hot eldrazi babes with this bad boy. You know, I really don't mind just giving it away actually. Our lot just recently got an extra shipment of vehicles- kind of a long story. That car could be yours for just one small favor...

WOW that's a good card. So many things you can do with that. And it's probably the first good card i've seen in the mercadian masques expansion!

You should ban this card. A deck with bribery is completely insane against any heavy deck, like the new Eldrazi's. How about pay only 5 mana to take "Emrakul, the Aeons Torn". It's unfair.

I was playing a cube draft with some friends, and my opponent used this card and Rite of Replication to have 2 Inferno Titans on turn 6, playing a Blue/White deck. Needless to say I lost that particular round quickly.

I remember taking all my singleton fatties out of a deck because this card existed. Pretty much the antithesis of fun.

Too bad Emrakul got banned in EDH, before he got banned it went like this....
1. Use Bribery on Jhora player. 2. ??? 3. Profit!!!
This thing is a house in EDH. My friend once snatched Emrakul out of my deck using this card, only to have my other buddy cast Shields of Velis Vel then Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund on the following turn. Craziness ensued. Amazing card.

@rpgrafael Really? They should ban this card because it's unfair against people playing Emrakul? Have you ever played a deck capable of playing Emrakul fairly early? It's pretty unfair.

Does anybody know of a card that does the same thing, but allows you to take a card like... Karn, for instance. I would like to be able to pretty much steal peoples plainswalkers.

Better than Control Magic, because you can search your opponent's library for just about anything YOUR opponent has without waiting for him to draw it
In fact I wish they reprinted this for all the damned power creep there is right now

Praetor's Grasp does something like that, but you have to be able to cast the card yourself. (If it's actually Karn you're grabbing, that won't be hard.)

@paladin85: Hard to say this is "better" than Control Magic, although a lot of the time I will agree with that, much of the time I won't as well. If you play this, who's to say your opp didn't already have 1 out of whatever it is already? (assuming its not legendary of course).. So then you end up with a trade or a mirror match. Where as if you control magic into that creature, your stealing battlefield presence AND mana your opp just spent for nothing that he can no longer use until next turn. Guess its all about perception and what you're going for..
Just got this out of the one lonely eighth edition booster pack at the mall comic book store Score one for me. Also. Thank yawgmoth it wasn't a vizzadrix for the gold

@ TwentyFithBaam:
Now, that woud be a cool win con. Make Phage come into play under an opponent's control? How do we do this? Donate Debtor's Knell and have the only card in any yard be Phage?

I remember the days when no one cared about this card. EDH really did wonders for the game. I went out and picked one up, threw it in my mono blue EDH, and when I played it a friend at the table started complaining at which point another friend who was running the tourney had to point out "Now, now, if you had one, you'd play it too".

This card is underrated. I think of it sort of as a reverse-tinker. For only {2} more CMC more than probably what is the most broken searcher in the game, I get to see your entire deck, and save myself an artifact, and, notably, save myself the dead draw of Blightsteel Colossus.
With only a tad bit of opponent's help, it is literally a better tinker. And even if they don't have a blighsteel colossus or anything else notable, its still a very good card.

Pretty much no reason not to run this in any blue EDH deck except that, for $17 a piece, you could actually bribe your opponent into conceding.

I hate this card in Commander. More than that, I hate the players that try to justify it by saying "well, it's reliant on your opponents decklist, and besides, you get to punish them for playing powerful, expensive creatures!". Way to absolutely *** all over the spirit of the format. That, and its a game-changing/closing bomb for 5cmc 95% of the time with no prior setup or effort required. Also, nothing feels dirtier than other people thumbing through your deck and ripping out cards.
One last thing, anyone else feel this card was designed by a 5-year-old? Can't stress it enough, this card is so incredibly lame.
