It's actually the least card-intensive combo-to-kill that an Aluren deck can pack. The only reason people don't run it is, Brain Freeze isn't a creature and can't be tutored up with Fauna Shaman. (You could try Storm Entity. Weirdly, tutoring for two non-legendary creatures by goofy Aluren comboing is quite doable, but tutoring for three is much harder. Google Aluren Legacy to see the details...)
