Almost breaks the color pie twice, but it's still just destroying creatures. Everytime I think something is breaking the pie I feel like some forbidden forthwall is being broken.

Oh nice, it is easy to forget that the flavor of Nyx was that mortals go to the realm of the gods in their dreams. Inspired was meant to represent dreaming, but it didn't come across all that well. This shows us the connection between dreams and Nyx again.
We'll definitely be seeing this in sideboards for Standard for the next year and a half. Outside that though...not so much.

Why didn't we ever get something like 2b: Destroy target nonenchantment creature?

Pick these early people, this is one of the best removal spells in the block, and it's common. One of the other best is Fall of the Hammer, and that is common too. Black/Red is finally going to be one of the sweeter combinations to draft this block.
So sweet! and common! Looks to be the Go for the Throat/Ultimate Price of this block (It's strange that this time we're eating the creature, but otherwise the enchantment flavor is spot on)
