This has its uses, but Prey Upon pretty much does the same job without putting your own creature into danger (as in, to utilize this card, you have to attack with one your creatures to ensure it gets used, putting it in danger of being blocked by other unwanted creatures).

I honestly can't think of a scenario where Prey Upon is less useless. Maybe if your own creature has shroud? I don't know...

Use this with Quicken and on your own creature so that you won't forget to block.

Sadly overcosted and missing a fair amount of utility because traditional fight effects and even temporary lure effects trigger Heroic!

Ah well. Time to Feed was good enough for us, there needs to be some liner in the packs.

And they could've just re-printed Provoke.

Here's a card that could have cost G and still have been unplayable. Maybe if it cantripped it'd be worth it; or if it had no cost as long as you controlled a Forest, then it wouldn't be total garbage. Not that it matters though, since this is merely Limited removal so Green can pretend it deals with creatures--though even in mono-green I'd probably just leave this in my sideboard.

I play a game when each set is released where I make a bet on which new card will have the lowest Gatherer rating of the entire set. I won! This card is does in fact have a terrible rating! I know they don't want removal to be too good in Theros block limited but this is ridiculous!

If they ever revisit the Split Second mechanic, they should print a card like this with it. Even with cards like Lure nothing is more annoying than playing this effect, then having the would-be doomed utility creature (example: Deathrite Shaman) use a {T} effect so that it's unable to block.

Really bad card, terrible at sorcery speed.

So much worse than Hunt Down and various other cards that it's not even funny.

Sucks.
It's overcosted, narrow and sorcery speed. Baaaaad card.

Ah, this is exquisitely bad removal. It'd be strictly worse than Provoke--twice over--if it wasn't slightly more useful against, uh, Ghost Warden.

Hmm. in multiplayer, opponent attacks another opponent with phyrexian obliterator, you make the defending opponent block it with his eldrazi. That's all i got. This card blows otherwise

In Born of the Gods, each colour's removal was improved. Since green got a beautiful limited removal suite in Theros (Time to Feed & Hunt the Hunter + Heroic isn't super amazing, but it's beautiful), they decided to put green at Theros level of removal for this set.

No synergy with any cards, weaker than cards that were already fringe playables... By far the worst card in the set.

I understand that bad cards need to exist, but must they really be this bad? This could easily have been 1Green and my rating wouldn't jump much higher than its current 0.5/5; Provoke would still outclass it in almost every way.

This card being rated above a 1 means that there are a fair number of people who rated this a 1.5 or better. These people need to learn to play Magic. Unlike Eternity Snare, the second lowest rated card in the set, this card is completely unplayable even in limited.
