About as close as they let green get to targeted removal. I don't think people would play this even if it had a cantrip.

I'd rather use Provoke, the namesake of the ability.

I would very much like to oracle Hunt Down to read "Target creature blocks another target creature this turn if able", but that would be a functional change; currently, you're allowed to use this spell to tell a creature to block itself, which has no effect on the majority of creatures since they have sense enough to realize that they're under no compulsion to obey a physically impossible order, but will cause Illusory Phantasms to vanish in a puff of logic at the very concept, while Skulking Fugitives simply hear you start talking to them and cut their own throats lest you compel them into doing something worse.
I for one would really like it if Wizards would stop clinging to wordings that make the game less sensible, and just perform eratta like this no matter how much it annoys rules lawyers. Rules lawyers are less valuable as Wizards' customers than flavor goobs who want the game to function intuitively, because flavor goobs will buy anything that has a nice piece of art on it or a sufficiently interesting story.
