Not really worse than Cackling Counterpart just different.

Hooray, Cackling Trostani is back into standard, I bet it still sees 0 play :/

This is really a cool concept though, I hope we see more reward for sorcery cards like this in the future

I'd say it's a pretty good card that could see some constructed play in Mono-Blue Devotion due to being able to copy Master of Waves so you technically end up with 8 of it in your deck. The scry is for 2 is added in for a nice touch.

Infatuation is the state of being carried away by unreasoned passion or love.

huh.

One of my favorite spoiled cards. I love clones, and instant-speed clone generation is awesome.
The flavor is wonderful, too. It's Narcissus!

This card is a lot better than most of the populate spells from ravinica. ... this makes me feel bad. still, a great card, with a nice scry added in.

The Standard-legal Biovisionary deck grows.

For all the water on the art this isn't very splashable.

Tripple blue mana is a pain here. Even without scry 2, I'd still prefer Cackling Counterpart.

For maximum flavor, use this to copy someone with echo. No, I don't care how much of a pain the resultant mana cost might be.

First flavor. The Vorthos in me did a little somersault when it saw this. Yes! Yes! Yes! Wizards you are beautiful. Let me kiss myself- I mean you! I love how it evokes the myth but doesn't replicate it exactly - but the image reflects that. Reflects me. Reflects deep into my soul . . . *stares lovingly into the card*

Second - two of these and an Archaeomancer, or Mnemonic wall seems fun. Or this, Archaeomancer and two wake the reflections? Shenanigans.

I always approve it when blue gets the best card of sweet spell cycle.

For funsies, target Artisan of Forms with this to receive two copies of the best creature on the battlefield.

When Narcissus saw his own reflection in the pool, he said "UUU."

Obviously inspired by the legend of Narcissus, who was so beautiful that he fell in love with his reflection in the water. In this case, I guess the reflection is even more lifelike!

I don't think this needed to be triple-blue, but instant-speed Cloning is awesome (since it can generate card advantage when done right); and Scry 2 can also come in handy if you know that you really want that copy immediately in your turn.

I love that they referenced the story of Narcissus (albeit it was almost ineviable that they'd do that in this block).

But I'm a bit puzzled about the flavor.
So one of your creatures loves its own reflection so much that it can't keep its eyes away from it. This seems less like an effect of an illusory reflection than one that constrains (doesn't untap during upkeep) or even kills the creature.

Would've preferred to have been able to copy anything for 2BlueBlueBlue, but still outrageously strong.

@Zenzei: This card doesn't actually target anything, so it won't activate Heroic abilities. On the plus side, it ignores things like Hexproof and protection from Blue.

@Lord_Skoonie It says "target creature" how does it not target anything?

I think that's incorrect and it does in fact trigger Heroic. It should and it's actually a useful Heroic trigger.

The potential for this card is great, even getting more land, for example mutavault.

That art is outrageously creepy. I don't care how much I love how I look, when I reach for my reflection I do NOT want it to reach back.

A fun, probably "no way in hell for constructed" idea is pairing this with Spellheart Chimera. Chimera loves spell-flingy decks, so you don't want too many creatures getting in the way, and this card essentially allows you to have more creatures --that grow with sorceries and instants-- without actually using creature cards.

In a draft, I pulled off this targeting Akroan Horse before it's ETB resolved to still get the scry.

I'm a dick: i put this in my oath of druids deck. i bet this would got well in a polymorph deck too. it doesn't take away from getting out the creature you want and just adds to it later.

What about elite arcanist ? You could cast it for only colorless mana every time you could tap elite arcanist..
