Pretty narrow, but swats down everything under Avacyn, Angel of Hope level...

This is why I prefer to use the train.

Flyers that survive this in standard post-rotation (not counting guys that pump themselves):

That's it. Would be great if Plummet wasn't a card.

If Satyr Firebreather somehow obtains flying than this has its use over plummet...

Barring some strategy involving Spitemare/Boros Reckoner/Stuffy Doll, why wouldn't you just save 1 mana and cast Plummet instead?

At least the card 'slaps' annoying flyers away such as Baneslayer Angel, dragons and most importantly, Storm Crow

So... Crushing Vines existed... Hmm...

I feel like Wizards is printing all of these bad cards to make us appreciate other sets like Innistrad more. Not once have I heard someone say, "Innistrad was a great set!" as much as people do for Rise of the Eldrazi, or Urza's Saga.

But now, I'm expecting people to say things like, "Ahh... I remember when I could play an indefinite kill spell on flyers... those were the good old days..."

Maybe if you try really hard you can work in a Treacherous Link?

Considering that green has Plummet, I don't really understand why this card was released...

If this were in Innistrad, it would've been 13 damage.

For some reason I'm a sucker for drafting Plummet whenever I play green. And then inevitably it will sit in my hand the entire game as I wait for my opponent to play a flyer that never comes. And this card costs more and theoretically kills less creatures. I'm going to have to pass on this card. I hear some people use a sideboard though and that's where this card will find its place.

Thanks Wizards, these Windreader Sphinxes got really out of hand.

I ran the flavor text through Bad Translator and it became "Wow, Peter Buck. Muscle weakness."

In Theros Límited this is one of the only answers that Green/White decks have to the menace of Stormbreath Dragon which has Protection from White, at least hold on to these for sideboarding. This card can even kill a Stormbreath that is Monstruous!

The function of this card is subpar compared to others like plummet (which, frankly, was undercosted), but what I really like about it is the flavor. Don't shoot it with a leaf. Don't banish it from the universe. Don't distract it or placate it. Don't launch a giant stick at it. Don't strike it with lightning, or slit its throat, or melt its bones, or implode it's skull. Don't catch it with a net, or jab it with a poison dart, or even catch it in a giant spider web. Buffet it with winds so violent that even exceptionally bulky dragons are rent asunder.

Sometimes a (high) number just feels more powerful than an absolute effect, and isn't feeling powerful essential to the appeal of magic?
