And that completes my round the world with the nymphs. That was fun.

Someone at Wizards likes Liara Tsoni perhaps a tad much.

Bestow is a cool mechanism, but why do all the Bestow costs have to be so darn expensive? Also, is it just me, or is it a tad weird that a naiad has Flying?
I admit to not being the best Limited drafter--but I do know what I like. And what I like is this card. I know it sounds crazy to first-pick this, but it's a very solid creature in the early game and a nice finisher (+flying) as well. When I see this card early on I'm always tempted to switch to blue, especially if I can snag more than one. I'm not sure how well it will do outside of Limited--ie. Standard--but I'm fairly hopeful.

@Taudisban: I admit to being rather new to the game, but why isn't a 3-drop that isn't useless in the late game constructed viable? You can pump up one of your more important creatures and give them evasion to get in that last bit of damage, and it stays on the battlefield after the creature it was bestowed on dies.

I like that the bestow cost is just the same price as a Spectral Flight and a Wind Drake combined. This isn't really constructed viable, and I don't agree with Eternal Blue that this is first pick material (though I probably will at some point, Theros has some bad rares) but I wouldn't be embarrassed to pick this second or third and if I can get one I will take it. If I can get two or pick up enough fixing, I'll play blue, no questions asked.

It is mostly that there are better options rather than that it is bad. At the 3 slot in blue, it competes with Thassa, God of the Sea and Nightveil Specter. At five, well, you're right. I think the inherent 2-for-1 of bestow is good enough to tap out for but it needs to be good at three as well.
That said, I definitely wouldn't be at all embarrassed to play this in a casual deck, but generally when you say constructed viable you are referring to Standard. I could also be wrong, I was of the opinion that Pack Rat was a good limited card and fun for casual but the mono-black lists of today are proving me wrong.

The new Drake Umbra. Absolutely firstpickable and a bit silly at common in a format with no removal. Feel free to cast this into their open mana and feel free to win with the 2/2 hasted Chasm Drake.
