Oh, man! Took me forever to find this card again. I used to use this card in an ol' school white weenie deck as a last resort. Not perfect, but good enough. If nothing else, your opponent has to work around it or do something about it if they're only attacking with one creature. This would be fun against the Exalted abilities today!

Play with Opalescence to make it a 2/2 bear which can block one attacker and then bounce to stop another.

AMAZING WHEN USED RIGHT! like with anything like silent arbiter and in an exalted deck where your only attacking with one creature anyways in that case its verry comparable to maze of ith which makes it verry good 4/5
Ok, this card is really insane. Granted that the shield only protects against one creature and it needs to be targeted, but this effect is much more repeatable than anything else, like Spike Weaver. Like a Master Decoy that's not vulnerable to creature removal.

Mesa/Verduran/Argothian Enchantress' fav spell. the heart of my enchanto-matic deck.
Deceptively simplistic card that at first glance resembles many other meh white enchantments that deal with handling attacking creatures, but this one is actually very good.

Mesa Enchantress = 2 mana prevent damage from attacking creature, draw a card. repeatable effect. meh. i'd rather use flickering ward. but i get where this excels--stopping trample.

Play in an enchantment deck with Dueling Grounds, let the lulz begin

Just added this to my Extort deck. Each bounce = more extort life. If you have enough mana and enough extortionists, you can, in theory, block your OWN attacker. Prevent 1 damage from your basilica screecher, leach from each player in the second main.
