YES! I AM TEH FIRST ONE TO COMMENT ON THIS REPRINT!

This is a staple of all control decks. 2 mana is easy to come up it, and you won't belive how much it saved me from a fatal Mind Grind or Artful Dodge.

Still no idea what's going on in this art that appears every time. But I've always liked this flavor text.

Six printings now with this nonsense art. Please give us a new one next time and I kow there will be a next time because this card is perfect at what it does.

It's no Counterspell, but it's still useful and easy to splash with different colors. If you doubt it's value, imagine you have two free mana when your opponent casts a Planeswalker-go ahead and counter that shizz ;)

Feels real bad when your just getting punched in the face by creatures, but a must in control mirrors.

Mind Rot, Naturalize, Negate, Pacifism, Serra Angel, and Fog are all apparently NWO core set staples.

I think the art is a merkfolk torso having its spell countered? Negate could really use new art.

Almost any deck that splashes blue needs to consider this card. It hits almost everything that poses a problem.

I prefer running essence scatter, this does little to hold off most of the mindless aggro decks out there.

Still this is a fine card.

I understand that some players may be tired of seeing a card like Negate in every single core set, but as a casual player, I couldn't be more thankful to see this reprinted so often.

Negate is a staple card that players of all budgets can appreciate. It's simple, reliable, and hasn't been rendered strictly worse by any other card.

I play a lot of decks that have a total value of about $20, and when I'm facing down one of those Esper Control decks that's got a $400 land base, Negate is one of the few cards that gives me any kind of a chance to win. Every player deserves that kind of a chance at victory, regardless of their financial situation.

Wizards, please remain vigilant. If a playset of Negates ever costs more than $0.60, you need to reprint it.
