Strictly better than Manalith.

Perfect reprint for Commander players to get more copies.

Can't you just imagine an Atog munchin' on a darksteel ingot?

I dont normally run mana ramp @3, but when I do, I prefer darksteel ingot.

Great card, especially in EDH. But is indestructibility really worth, the mana fixing off of Chromatic Lantern, or the creatures off Keyrunes. Idk, maybe. It can't be Abrupt Decayed which is nice.

@link3343: It depends what you're running. Lets say you have a deck that is very "WRECK ALL THE STUFF!" and has cards like Jokulhaups, Akroma's Vengeance, Obliterate, Planar Cleansing, and so on, this card will weather the storms.

Indestructible has been promoted to a keyword. Saying something "has indestructible" still sounds kind of dumb though...

"It reflects the purity of Mirrodin-that-was."
Koth of the Hammer

But Koth, that's not a Puresteel Ingot.

Would you rather run this, or Pristine Talisman ?

This can't be destroyed and fixes any color issues

Talisman only gives colorless, but buffs for one life each time.

Clearly the Ingot is better for probably 3+ color decks, but I wonder if the talisman has a solid place in something like suicide black or RDW.

I love cards that probably can't cause you to win without some ridiculous combo, but still seem a little broken to me. This is a prime example.

Strictly better than Manalith you say? How do we even begin to compare this to Celestial Prism?

@link3343: If you're playing Commander and you aren't seeing at least 4 boardwipes per game, someone is doing it wrong (I've had decks where I had upwards of 10 boardwipes). This thing survives pretty much everything unless an someone casts Merciless Eviction and choosing artifacts. It's also nice to cast an Akroma's Vengeance and get to keep your manafact while your opponents' signets and lanterns go to the graveyard.
In all honesty though, I like running both of them, especially if the deck has a lot of colors. Depending on taste, Coalition Relic and Spectral Searchlight are also good options. I particularly like the Searchlight because of the multiplayer politics that can come from having it on the battlefield.
