I don't know about you guys, but this is an actually decent counterspell in a standard environment void of them

Hey there, Delver! Here's a brand new Mana Leak, just for you!

Just make sure you flip quickly ;D

I like how downplayed this guys look is compared to so many overly-detailed subjects on cards.

Actually, I'm 90% certain this was made with Simic in mind. In any case, this seems underrated. It's frequently as good as Mana Leak with the chance of being even better. Of course it can't go into every blue deck ever, but, like I just said, Simic will have a nice day with this by its side.

Will work amazingly well in Simic Decks and alright in Dimir Decks but could easily see this in any Blue deck with large creatures. Imagine the sheer horror in your opponent's eyes when you play this when you have a Geralf's Mindcrusher out.

This will pave the way for a smooth transition out of this grindy mid-rangy standard, I think.

Thragtusk, you are too useful, even with counterspells you shine...
Sidenote: That dude is hot.

Not bad if you're running dimir colors and you have a Consuming Aberration out on the field.

My favourite counterspell in a long time, probably next to Rune Snag; the idea of a counterspell relying on creatures to be effective is interesting and flavourful, and could perhaps begin a new archetype.

And Walker's art never ceases to impress; so soft and lovely.

This is frequently going to be much more effective than Syncopate with two mana, but this will be best played in a deck with additional colors, because of the weak creature base in blue.

Hasn't failed me yet. If they tap out then you don't even have to think about it unless your field is empty.

No Wizards, I don't want to play creatures, stop trying to force me to do it.

I find it insulting that not only you created all these absurd cards like Thragtusk and Cavern of Souls to beat delver decks (which only really damaged true control decks significantly), but now you just reprinted Mana Leak, with the only catch being that you can't play it in control. *** this format.

Mana Leaking for 24 with Master Biomancer. My Girlfriend hated me. Worth it.

Apparently getting your spell countered also vaporizes your shirt. Good to know.

As Simic as it may seem, it's actually an Izzet spell. Ask Kiln Fiend and Blistercoil Weird.

I like to use this in my dragon deck, I can cast it then put firebreathing on the stack and make X as big as it needs to be!
