I too am curious about this maze, Mr Random Fiend

Unfortunately it doesn't work quiet well with Cipher, even though I think it should have.
BUT, this could work very well with rebound and/or flashback.
It should feel good to make a deck around this and make it work.

Cypher will work wonders on this, but we prefer Glaring Spotlight still.

Since cypher actives when damage is done I don't believe he'll be affected by it, but he's still solid.

Really neat design. I like the few cards in the recent blocks that focus on 'second spell matters' like Second Guess and this chap.

What are you talking about Dabok? You cast two Cipher spells, encode them on him and swing. You just cast 4 spells for the price of two, and thats assuming you dont swing in with him ever again. Doesnt work well with Cipher...

"In the middle of the Maze we hid the U.S. Constitution, The President of the United States, a Book of Secrets, the Contract of San Vengaza, and Mt. Rushmore. We want you to steal and/or kidnap them. Bring in the President still alive, and the lost souls of San Vengaza should still be dead, please."

"I want....8....hundred....billion dollars for this contract." said the Izzet Spy pretending to be a Dimir Agent spying on the Orzhov Syndicate for the Simic Combine.

"Deal.", said the Boros Investigator, on the payroll of the Orzhov Syndicate, who was really a Dimir Agent underneath all that but didn't know it himself because he was being ordered to disguise himself as a Senator of Azor.

Every time I glance at the art, all I can think of is Havengul Lich.

I love it when blue gets beatdown card that is (situationally) one of the best in the game. Tempted to build a deck around this guy, Quirion Dryad and Nivmagus Elemental.

I'm astonished the Dimir let him quit.

I feel like this was designed to work with Cipher, but it doesn't. By the time the Cipher goes off, it's too late for the +2/+0 to matter.

Tigt: After the original Ravnica block lots of Ravnicans found out about the Dimir, which severely hurts Dimir policy; by letting agents go and act as normal people, everyone thinks Dimir has disbanded, allowing Dimir to actually get back to work. Or the agents actually thought Dimir disbanded when Szadek died. Or both.

I like the flavor of this card and the mechanics are quite good. This is solid and well-designed.

I gave this a 5/5. He's pretty strong in my peasant-cube. He's an early 1/3 blocker that often gets in for 6 or more unblockable damage. He plays really well with things like Think Twice and Gitaxian Probe.

Also the art is amazing, and I enjoy the flavor as well.

How is this rated 2.5? In a non specialized deck it's a 1/3 for 1U that sometimes becomes 3/3 unblockable, which is already hovering around average. In a specialized deck it's basically a 3/3 unblockable for 1U, which is pretty amazing. I would think it's worth at least 4/5.
