Will be overshadowed by other evolve creatures for standard play, since the 3cmc slot is very heavy for Gatecrash... The trample is nice but evolve is nicer. Will still be a great pull for drafts and the prerelease, when you don't get perfect sets of cards.
If this card had evolve, i'd give it something higher but 3.5/5 is what it gets for being a good drake but a mediocre simic card.

Cool card, but alas, the lack of Evolve kills it. Or, more accurately, anything with a power of 1 kills it. Had it been more but had Trample, I'd be all over it, but it's too vulnerable for me.

It has flying and trample. Very obviously it must be a Dragon. When you can't recognize a Dragon just because you don't see it breathing tons of Fire, you know you have been playing too much MAGIC as your exclusive source of Fantasy 'tropes'. :/

A drake is a weaker form of a dragon without the more powerful inherent magical abilities and usually with a set of wings and a set of legs. Dragons generally have a set of forelimbs a set of hindlimbs and a set of wings as well as high intelligence and magical powers. So drake wing leases is a combination of a lizard (possibly for docility) and a drake (maybe for a large body). And before someone mentions, skyrim dragons are strange, they don't have arms...

@Black_Sun28 I've actually seen that a lot. It's not as weird as you think, if the creator is trying to make them seem evolutionarily realistic - imagine if birds had arms... it winds up being a halfway point between birds and lizards, really. With magical fire farts. And breathing too, I suppose.

All joking aside, if you're in this guy's colors, draft him. Under no circumstances is he the wrong pick, aside from a bomb rare. He levels up your early evolvers, he's a 3-power flyer for 3, and even if he gets blocked he can still get through for a little. Hell, once I drafted seven of these guys in a GTC-GTC-GTC draft. Ended up going 3-0 too.

3 double evasion for 3 is good. Makes it a reliable beater unless they spend a card (most of the time), unfortunately trygon is so efficient this guy won't see much play unless you're *really* aggro in g/u; but then why not nulltread?

I love this card, its got a reasonable mana cost and great stats. And in a Simic deck, all you need is perhaps a " Give " spell and then ramp up the counters with Vorel. I couldn't say how many times I've won matches with a 21/19 flying trample ( or higher sometimes )
WHY don't you have evolve? Such a beautiful art and cool card but it's so removable with just 1T, an Electrickery can remove him so easily without even needing to target him... I think Forced Adaptation was made to be put on him so he evolves every turn and in time this awesome card will become a huge Flampler. "Oh you are one of the best results we got, too bad you can't evolve on your on like the others... good thing we have a way to fix that" - Prime Speaker Zegana or some other Simic mage
