Seems pretty strong really, but it wants an evasion ability really badly. The fact it doesn't look at where the damage comes from is interesting and lets you use cards like Flame Rift...

Question:

In a multi-player game, if Opponent A controls Discordant Spirit, and I Mind Control it, can I change the "Target Opponent" to, say, Opponent B?

There's no need as the Oracled text has omitted the word 'target'-

This is a cool card, and it's especially fun in multiplayer. To be really awesome, though, it needs to acquire, say, a Dragon ShadowLoxodon Warhammer. I hear that would regain all the life you lost, if not more. Paired with things like Blockbuster and Price of Progress, you can really punish opponents. I wish it naturally had flying, though, since that would mean Fault Line for massive profit, but I guess you could splash Green for Squall Line and/or Cloudthresher.

Also, now, with Sundial of the Infinite, you don't have to worry about losing those +1/+1 counters anymore! :D

Could have been pretty awesome if it had some sort of evasion.

Sundial of the Infinite triggers end of turn effects but DOESN'T trigger end step effects. In other words; as long as you have a dial, Discordant Spirit just gets bigger and bigger. Hell yeah.
