Useful card in it's day. After the release of cards like Ancestral Recall, the game designers backed away from powerful card drawing effects for awhile.

Today, Forsee and Ponder give you 90% of the same benefit at one mana. Dream Cache still works better with certain cards - like Niv Mezzet.

This draws you three cards for three mana. How can you even compare it to Foreee or Ponder.

Usually you'll be putting the cards on the bottom. If your hand is exactlky what you need, maybe not. Miracles like Entreat the Angels would also encourage top-play, while a few cards could make use of the bottom. (Tunnel Vision?)

I wish this was in modern.
