Public school fails again... This give your creature +x/+0 where X is the target creature's converted mana cost. So, if you target Kird Ape with this card, it only gets +1/+0.

Goes great with Shambling Strider and Scaled Wurm.

I use it as a finisher in a Rith EDH deck. Admittedly, its a very casual voltron style deck, but I think its nifty.

@DijitalDijin: the kird ape would only get +1/+1 b/c its CMC is 1. It's not the discarded card's cmc, it's the creature that's getting targeted.

Scornful Egotist would love a Surge of Strength.

I think that's the same elf as on Justice. Perhaps even Dystopia, as well....

Did anyone else notice that the guy in this card's art is also in the art of Justice and Dystopia?

Great card, back in the day. Allows one to finish in style.
So powerful, I had to take it out of my casual deck.

@Kirbster:
Seeing that progression... that was kind of depressing.....

Not a very good card, but it might find use in a RG madness deck, since it sounds like fun there with Arrogant Wurm or Reckless Wurm...now if just it weren't for the discard restriction.

It's a BLAZING SHOAL + trample that you have to pay for. I think Blazing Shoals 5 through 8 would be worth the RedGreen.

It should be any card- after all, you have to have red and green mana available to even cast it, lol. Looks like a "fixed" version of Berserk.

Not to be slept on. This was something of a poor man's Berserk, meaning it was still devastating when you discarded something of decent size. This has gotten better with time, as there are now creatures with enormous casting costs like Draco and Autochthon Wurm.
