In a deck that I have made for fun, my Honden Shrine deck, this comes in handy. When I have multiple upkeeps and am forced to draw 15 cards per turn it's nice to know that I can choose when I don't want to draw any more :)

@silverware Or you could donate your own Forced Fruition...
A laughable combo to try: Accelerate Forced Fruition onto the table with Obstinate Familiar already in play, then on your next turn use Bazaar Trader to hand it to your opponent and proceed to draw enough cards off of it to cast a Spiraling Embers for at least 20, with Reliquary Tower / Spellbook to keep the cards and Aeon Chronicler as an alternate win condition. Definitely not the most efficient way to draw cards ever, but it'd be hilarious at the table.

@ DarthMohawk1: You can't exchange control of enchantments with the Bazaar Trader.
You'll be glad you played it when your opponent plays their Consecrated Sphinx.

@ ignite, using this with leveler keeps you from losing the game by not being able to draw any more cards.

For when you completely mill yourself with dredge, swing for 70, and your opponent Fogs

Most epic hate one-drop ever. It's as simple and elegant as Blood Moon.

@ignitetheice:
Good heavens you're right! Leveler has no synergy whatsoever with Obstinate Familiar, you would still remove your library from the game. Except that with Obstinate Familiar in play, you would be able to skip the draw on your next turn and proceed to beat face with a 10/10 for {5}. Although realistically your opponent would then use any removal they could on the little lizard...probably causing you to lose by drawing when you have no cards in your library, although a 10/10 puts some serious pressure on your opponent.

I love this card, so much. True, it may not be all that useful, but his ability is so unique, he gets 5 stars from me.

"If'n I dan't want to draw cards, I ain't gon to."
An ability that looks terrible at first glance, but than it is actually really good. I'm gonna have to pick up a few of these.

To keep you from losing the game after casting leveler I guess.

Pretty niche card, but if you see a deck that has only this guy and a couple Chronatog as its creatures, you know that's a deck you don't want to fight.
