Would be an awesome one-drop, but it has a rather marginal use like this.

Especially in an aggro deck like a Dwarf deck should be, this is a good way to slow down the tempo of a control/combo deck - you get an extra turn with your 1/1 you played last turn. If you've got Dwarven Recruiters you can get a string of four of them starting turn four and really delay WoG, or whatever big thing was going to come.

DWARF! Not a bad card either.

this is a bad card. Its p/t are already under par for its casting cost, and then you have to sac it to do anything useful. And you don't even get to really trade cards with an opponent, you just set them back a turn. Which, contrary to popular opinion, is actually not that helpful. And it's also a hell of a waste of a rare slot. I mean between this, need for speed and the infamous mudhole red had some pretty laughable rares.

Could be fun with a early Lifeline in the game, no more land drops as long as you have another creature :D

It's obnoxious combo time!

Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker + Pardic Miner

If you can power out Shirei early enough, you just might stick them down on a stupidly low number of lands. Or you could use Orcish Settlers for maximum obnoxious fun.

Bonus points if you then kill them with Mogg Fanatic, one point at a time.

Bad p/t for CC? Maybe you ought to look 2 CC creatures for red, then come back and tell me how many of them are 2/2 or 2/1.

This card is part of a aggro deck, slowing control or other similarly snail-paced decks whilst your aggro creatures destroys them. I disagree this should be rare, maybe uncommon is better

Mimic Vat. And then if you really want to lose your friends, finish with a Deus of Calamity.

I thought lands couldn't be responded to?

@wholelottalove: They can't. Playing a land is a special action that can only be done on your turn, during one of your main phases, when the stack is empty, and can't be responded to because it doesn't use the stack. That's not what this card is for. You're supposed to crack this on your opponent's upkeep. That prevents him from playing a land for the rest of the turn.
