I only had one, single wish for a reprint in AVR: Evacuation.
While this lacks the (Instant) surprise factor, the Miracle cost and near-Upheaval level of power are more than enough to satisfy my desire for a Big Blue Reset Button.
THANK YOU, Wizards! This is something Blue has been missing for quite a while, and it came back with immense force.
This will also rule for anyone who wanted Upheaval in their EDH decks- it doesn't hit lands, but it'll still be a great tool to have!

One of the best miracles. Terminus is better but blue is the color of library manipulation, so it's easier to pull off Evacuation for .

"This game is getting too silly. Let's start over". I think I'd play this over Evacuation, if only for the miracle possibility and the fact that it also covers enchantments, artifacts, and those pesky planeswalkers.

A practiced player would recognize a good card like this from a mile away, and Swanland art from another ten. 5/5

Evacuation was powerful at dealing with creatures, this one also hit non creatures, which is what blue needs. Sorcery speed is a problem that could be rectified with library manipulation and Miracle.

This is a tier 1 card that will be a mainstay in almost all blue decks. And the non-miracle cost is just fine. We will see this in RU and WU all the time.

okay, so it's not so good if it gets stuck in your hand. but look at the flavor text for a second: It's hard to argue with a force made of divine will. PITCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Oh Masterof Etherium, you crazy bastard... A great control card, probably even better than Day of Judgment since 1) it still kills tokens 2) it gets rid of things besides creatures and 3) it gets by indestructibility and of course shroud.
Not only amazing for any type of blue control, this will be played in along with Terminus and all sorts of CIP effects

Although I quite playing paper magic around the time Evacuation was printed, I vaguely remember it being too much mass control for Blue. With all the graveyard recursion and and undying in standard, this seems slightly better than Terminus.
Hell, with both I see no reason NOT to make a permission deck.

Seems rather funny with a Howling mine type of effect, wish there was more synergy... Temple Bell?

"Here's the deal... you can clear the entire board for only 2cmc... but you have to do it NOW. like, right now."
"Damn, that's not bad...Ummmm... can I hold onto it for now and cast it for like, 5 later?"
"Sure!"

5 mana is nice to bounce everything.
the miracle is just broken. miracle is one of the best and worst mechanics.
Put an oblivion ring back into an opponents hand and get your permanant back. Granted, it wil be played next turn, but assuming it was a creature, you'll get an attack out of it.

Some people seem to be really unhappy with the prospect of it ending up in your hand. I don't really mind 5CC for a board wipe in my mono-blue control.

Red has Blasphemous act and slagstorm. White has Day of Judgment and MAYBE that new terminotus (Hallowed burial with a miracle)
I dont think we will see much of it unless artifacts, enchantments, and planeswalkers start to become serious threats.
This card is sideboard worthy, but a standard reset button like Day of Judgment is more likely, until other permanents become problematic
I feel, it REALLY should have been Evacuation with 1 more base cost and a miracle, not "all nonland permanents" like it says now. Hurts its ability greatly to be used in Super palls and non-creature heavy decks.

Good miracle cost to hard cast cost ratio. If the timing is right then the miracle will do wonders. If not, you've got some insurance in a few turns.

This is what I feel miracles should be. Playable even if you don't get to cast them for their miracle cost.
look guys, this card is okay. it is not terrible. it certainly works well with most control decks. then again, it isn't great because it is a SORCERY instead of an INSTANT. i don't know about you guys, but when i play any type of control, having a lot of instants is key. why not use other bounce cards like echoing truth or cyclonic rift? without this cards miracle cost, it would be super lame. just keep that in mind.

Not the best, but if you're up against a deck where the player can put a ton of permanents out rapidly, this can be useful - unless they have unlimited hand size, a ton of the stuff put back in their hand gets sent into the graveyard Tormod's Crypt the graveyard for lols *trolface*
Heheh, and if an article on examiner.com is correct, and the fact that it doesn't specifically target means you can return non-land permanents with shroud and hexproof, that'd make it great against pesky eldrazi decks.

Awesome card. A blue version of the "wrath effect". The miracle mechanic with it is amazing and makes it superior to other board wipes. It would likely be the end of your turn after hard-casting it for 5 mana, giving your opponent the initiative for placing the first card after clearing the board. Since the miracle cost is cheap you can clear the board for 2, then likely have the option to cast something else right after mid to late in the game giving you the initiative.
Since its mono blue it'll be even easier to cast it for its miracle cost and using it when you need it, with cards like mystical tutor and personal tutor.

8 months later, and ive never seen tide played in a league game once. Hardly tier 1. AVR tier 1 cards are only Bonfire, Cavern, Resto & Entreat. Sigarda, Silverblade, Wolfir & Tamiyo on good days.
Although, personally, ive won more games with a lone revenge of the hunted than i have with almost any standard combo.
Edit- Another four months have gone by, and now the realization of what a bomb this is in modern is sinking in. Hint: see serum visions and halimar depths

A force made of divine will, you say?
Kinda like a pure force of will, you mean?
It's too bad the effects don't have any relation.

Although I personally prefer Cyclonic Rift because it doesn't hit yourself, this a really powerful card which can destroy your opponents tempo, and being able to cast it for two is always a nice treat.

Ya know... methinks that a card this powerful should cost more than 2 mana. But that's just me.

Teferi's Puzzle Box sees where you are going and likes it. The miracle is great, the hardcast is fair, and mono-U wraths are always welcome. Good in EDH, which I play. A lot of.
