this is a powerful enchantment, yet rarely needed.

I imagine that Conversion would generally be easier to use.

But now you can chose between WW and WU; some decks have a hard time with consistent WW

Grumble... Why isn't there a mono blue "make red player cry" card? There is certainly a mono red card that reads "Target blue player cries" Boiling Seas

Now this could be interesting... I still think they should of made a similar card for Cold Snap which read something like this:
FROZEN LANDS {2}{W}{U} During your upkeep, pay 2 snow mana or destroy Frozen Lands.
All non-snow basic lands produce colorless mana.
Might be a little op'd...

There are such cards: Volcanic Eruption & Chill. One destroys there lands and their creatures, and the other is damn-near impossible for mono-red to remove.

Conversion has two rulings, both applicable to Glaciers, but they aren't here. Why?

This card almost makes Aysen Highway sort of playable. Impressive.

Would oh so totally have had the supertype Snow in Coldsnap.
It's a bit of anti-power creep that this is identical to Conversion but multicolor.
