look I don't care if you think it's bad for this or that reason. It's big giant smashy doomy fiery card of BOOM. I will make myself find a deck for this card because it just looks so awesome :D

more than Jaws of Stone to do no more than the 6 that Jaws of Stone does, but it gains flashback for the original 6. Only in Mono-red, but even then.... 3/5

...I think whoever proposed this card down in R&D back in the day was just joking.
And they took him seriously.

I think this card is meant to go with red card draw such as wild guess at least that's what I use it for in my burn deck.

The regular casting cost is far too high, but it has a decent flashback cost. At least in a mono-colored deck (even though they could have easily made the cost instead). Oh well, one red mana for each mayor boulder it is. Still, it doesn't seem to make sense than that you only need ONE red mana for the regular casting cost. Also, would have been a great thing with Chroma.
But even with a cost of , you can still try to turn that into an advantage. Just make sure to pack your deck with discard effects that look at the CMC. You'll deal a lot of damage discarding it, and will be able to cast it from your graveyard next turn:
- Blast of Genius: Draw three cards, discard VoB and deal 9 damage. - Mercurial Chemister: His second ability gets even more ridiculous if you have multiple VoB's in hand. - Kindle the Carnage: If there's only this and VoB in hand, 4.5 Pyroclasms should pretty much result in a board wipe. - Pyromancy: Classic. As with Kindle the Carnage, the discard is random though, so be careful. - Chandra Ablaze: The damage is fixed, she'll always deal 4. However, her ultimate comes in handy with VoB as well.
