Green's new attempt at removal is a little lackluster in my opinion

I prefer Overrun in the fact that its alot better at getting around small chumpy creatures, like Spirit/Soldier tokens.

It's less of a game-winner than Overrun and Overwhelming Stampede, and more of a removal spell... I really want to like this, but I feel it could have been a whole lot better.

If I'm Overrunning, then I wanna win, I don't care about removing my opponent's creatures!

Ends up as a one-sided board wipe in Naya with Fight to the Death, for the cost of one chump creature.
As like everyone else in this comment section has said, Overrun is just a better effect. The ONLY way this card would be valid is if you had something ELSE to give your army Trample, or if many of your creatures had Trample anyway. Though, in a White/Green deck, Ondric, Master Tactician COULD make this card a bit more fun - you not only force your opponent to lose their army, you pick which ones die where, and as such, your field is almost completely unharmed. So, for a turn 5 card (or earlier, since Green has a lot of mana-boosting effects) that combos with a turn 4 card, you can have a Day of Judgment that only hits your OPPONENTS' fields, not your own. Other than that, this card is totally sub-par to Overrun.
Note - for everyone who is obsessed with Overrun, allow me to point you to another card that we still have for two more months, one that I personally like a WHOLE lot more - Triumph of the Hoards. That card is a FOUR mana card, still grants a field boost with field gains trample, but also gives INFECT to EVERYTHING on your field at the time. Granted, it's a +1/+1 boost instead of +3/+3 each, but INFECT is a more reliable and more dangerous source of damage than regular damage is, due to it being FAR more permanent. And it's a FOUR mana card instead of a FIVE mana card, meaning you can play it a turn earlier in most scenarios. Besides, a huge army of +1/+1, Trample, Infect is JUST as dangerously powerful as a huge army of +3/+3, Trample, if not more dangerous. Honestly, I'm more upset with losing Triumph of the Hoards than I am about losing Overrun.

I'm going to see how it plays, but it seems like this card could be a blowout occasionally, but more often it would just sit uselessly in your hand.

Lol its not as bad as u think, i wiped my friends krenko and 4 tokens with this plus acidic slime. Works wonders with deathtouch. It by far won me the game on the vurge of defeat.

Two key things you guys are missing.
1) This cost , overrun costs
2) You could have one deathtouch creature and wipe their field.

Too many people are comparing this to Overrun when they're just not the same effect at all. It's a bad Overrun because it's not trying to be Overrun, it's a good one sided board wipe and it pushes damage through.

Combos nicely with deathtouch, but I think I'll stick with Overrun.

You guys have to remember, a single deathtouch creature would have to deal damage to EVERY creature an opponent controls to destroy each of them. I.E. a Deadly Recluse would only be able to kill one creature, because it can only deal 1 damage and deathtouch is dependent on damage.
As for the card...Meh. Inferior to Overrun as it serves the exact opposite purpose, which is a purpose that shouldn't be needed. I suppose it can kill their utility creatures, but if you're playing this kind of cards, you won't want to be killing creatures. You want to be killing players.

Hey, I think I found a situation where this is better than Overrun - archer decks with Greatbow Doyen. Murder their creatures AND savage their life points. Nice.

I'm giving it 3.5 just cause this card does work in M13 draft. Costing (G)(G)(3) makes it much more playable than the often compared Overrun's (G)(G)(G)(2) cost. I splashed green in a W/B Exalted deck (I know this card seems completely contrary to that theme but it won me 2 games) for this, a Thragtusk and a Rancor.
Yes Overrun outright wins games, but this can too. It's not as effective, but then again Overrun isn't standard anymore I don't think.
Still, this card IS an immediate game changer. It either wins you the game outright through massive damage boost or can act as a one-sided Day of Judgment or whatever. It's a little less focused than Overrun but it's also got some more situational value in some cases.

@DoragonShinzui : One Deathtoucher could wipe the opponent's board as long as he's the only creature you attack with, since each creature your opponent controls has to block him. In the case of Deadly Recluse, he would be a 4/5, so he could do 1 damage to 4 blockers. :)

It can't even kill utility creatures, because they just tap the creature to use its ability in response, then it can't block...

They work under different scenarios/decks.
What about combining this with Brawn in the deck? Also, how many green creatures already come with trample? Build a deck with this in mind instead and you'll be doing more for the same mana. Garruk's Companion is a great example and there are trample creatures up and down the entire curve of green. If you are prepared with this card, it's just straight up better.
