There's nothing you can play before it that will untap your lands. Until it gets some support that is also on the curve, it's a pile of dung.

Green has mana producing creatures, Bear Umbra, Nature's Will and all this stuff. This card isn't a bomb, sure but it can be used. Maybe also combined with cards like Rising Waters or Winter Orb.

Green is the color of mana, and often time mana from creatures. Some artifact also provide mana. Why are people so concerned with the drawback? Spoiled by power creeping, no doubt.
People who give this card a low rating had never tried Winter Orb or Armageddon strategies before (look up those cards if you haven't). It's common for green to utilize mana control strategies because green is least affected by mana restrain. If you can shut down all mana sources, a 6/5 on the field will almost always ram its head through.

No, Mangha Wurm, cities have crumbled under Autochthon Wurm and Worldspine Wurm's weight. Only decks crumble under yours.
Combos with Seedborn Muse, but for the 5 mana you need to get the Muse out wouldn't you rather play Bellowing Tanglewurm than this crap without even trample?
