gromgrom777- yeah, that's because tokens back in the day weren't cards. Now when "cards" would be mentioned we see "nontoken permanent."

Yes, you can send it back, fssfalcon. Jinxed Idol was based off of this card. No, Dlck, it doesn't work with mill decks. It would have to say "goes to the graveyard from anywhere" Or more specifically, "from your library" to work that way. Now it's whenever something that's in play dies.

does it hurt you when you sac the creature to give it to your opponent? I think it does but I wasn't sure... doesn't matter I'm going to get jinxed idol instead.
Anyone ever have an opponent try to walk with this after the game, pointing out that they can't control it "permanently" unless you let them keep it?

@PolskiSuzeren Jinxed Idol was NOT based o this card, Jinxed Idol was in fact printed in the set immediately before this one, so if anything, this was based on Jinxed Idol; but considering they are in the same block, I imagine they may have been designed at around the same time, possibly intended to work together.

Whatever you do, don't play this with R&D's Secret Lair on the field. Your opponent will gain control of it... permanently.
