I'm not a fan, mana inefficient, even more so than Lava Axe. the fact it can only hit a creature, makes it less versatile than several other burns. the landcycle is only useful in early game situations, made only better in a dual/tri color deck, should you not have land early.

Maybe tossing it with Chandra Ablaze and throwing it back for free later would work...

Hint- always use the landcycling ability. Sometimes you might wish you could deal 5 damage to a creature but in that case you should have run a different card.

If you want to give up the landcycling, try Combust, works much better as removal against the Knights deck.

@Dacen, this only lets you find basics. Sylvan Scrying is awesome because it finds busted lands like Gaea's Cradle.

In the Dragons deck, this card almost always gets used for the landcycling. The burn is way too expensive, and there are so many better choices, like Cone of Flame or Jaws of Stone. Plus, being in the graveyard benefits Temporary Insanity.

Don't look at it as an inefficient removal spell. Look at it as an instant red Sylvan Scrying that lets you find Stomping Ground, Steam Vents, Blood Crypt, Sacred Foundry, Madblind Mountain, and of course Mountain at instant speed, is a red card that can be discarded to Chandra Ablaze, and I'm pretty sure there's a Llurgoyf somewhere that cares about this crap.
