If this cost 3 and it's ability cost 2, that would be a hell of a lot better.

Using this, some Memory Crystals, a few Mana Flares, and a Searing Touch, I created an infinite damage combo. One mountain with three Mana Flares gives RRRR. R to cast Searing touch, Buyback for 0 thanks to the Memory Crystals, then the remaining RRR are used to activate the Talisman to untap the Mountain.

That illustration isn't very red at all. I'm reminded of Cavotta's article on why art directors are important.

I think this card's ability should be changed from triggered to activated (as printed), because now it can't be countered by things like Voidmage Husher or Squelch.
Nacre Talisman, Lapis Lazuli Talisman, Onyx Talisman and Malachite Talisman should be changed as well.

Basically Voltaic Key but it isn't restricted to artifacts, costs more, and its situational.

This + sac outlet + Kobolds of Kher Keep + Enduring Renewal + infinite mana == infinite untaps. Easy enough, right?
