I love the art, but for the same price I would rather just go with Prodigal Pyromancer, even without the haste.

Obvious card application in flavor text is obvious.

You'll want to be playing Fire whip or Arcane Teachings most of the time instead of this, but the chick on the card is pretty damn cute.

When you want 4 more expensive Vulshok Sorcerers.

Is it just me or are those boobs pointing in a really strange direction?

@ axiobeta: I noticed that too. Probably has to do with the very obvious arc around them as well as the bad angle proportioning.

Last time I checked, Tom was a boy.

Ridiculous in limited. Slap one of these on an Angelic Wall and you will be killing off legions of little guys or dealing one damage to your opponent every turn. Otherwise, it's meh.

Why oh why did you have to put that stupid Haste there, Why not just reprint Power of Fire? Why, oh tell me why?

Haste doesn't even make sense here. What, are you supposed to miraclecast Reforge the Soul, draw into an inexpensive creature and this, then cast them both? Arcane Teachings feels just as awkward at first, but at least it gives a big P/T boost (rewarding you quite a bit for figuring out how to use it) and gave you a pretty sweet blocker.

I really like using this on a lot of red vampires (Havengul Vampire, Falkenrath Exterminator, Markov Blademaster, etc.) to get +1/+1 counters on them easier. However, I wish this card cost 1 less. I give it a 3/5 because it's great in that situation but kinda meh elsewhere.

This is the middle of a vertical cycle: Dual Casting, Lightning Prowess, Malicious Intent.
