Blade Splicer obsoletes this in combat, but if Precursor Golem is involved...

Guys, Precursor Golem only gets copies if it's an instant or sorcery. This is an activated ability. No mass regenerate.

This seems to be one of the better splicers. While regenerate won't help against being poisoned, it will help elsewhere, and a 3/3 and a 1/1 for alone is decent. will definitely help Golem tribal decks.
Also, having one of each of those out is 85 points of trampling, regenerating, first strike goodness, if my math is right.
Go go Golem Tribal!

This is one of my favorite splicers, because regeneration can save you from board sweeps. I mean ok you lose all your splicers, but you keep all your golems. It's also only 4 mana for 1 and a 3/3 with regeneration which isn't bad at all.

Among the splicers, this is my second highest pick in a draft right behind Blade Splicer. Four CMC for a regenerating 3/3 and a bonus 1/1 is solid on its own, and can become brutal if you get your hands on any of the other decent splicer cards. Respectable card.

His Golem looks like the one they used for the Golem Tokens this set.

They sure were serious about buffing only Golems "you control". Contrast to similar past cards: Asceticism & Krosan Warchief.

This is actually a really neat Splicer. Regeneration is fun.

Wait, indestructible... wut?
This, with Maul Splicer, Blade Splicer, Master Splicer, Precursor Golem, Tempered Steel and Doubling Season is half a deck on its own.
Also, having one of each of those out is 85 points of trampling, regenerating, first strike goodness, if my math is right.
Go go Golem Tribal!
