A great card! A good example of powerful common removal, alongside such classics as Terror. It's also worth mentioning that this gives black access to direct exiling of creatures, an area it is sadly lacking in.

I digg.
Unmake is really under-utilized. White decks may prefer Path to Exile, but mono-black now has removal for other black creatures. I'd play this over Terror or Doom Blade any day.

The thing I like about this card more than path to exile or any black removal spell (like terror) is that this just simply, quickly and effectively gets rid of one of your opponents best creatures with no drawbacks, and no chance of getting it back. Solid.

This card is truly ridiculous. Unrestricted creature removal for white OR black, meaning it can go in any deck that even splashes either of those colors. And the fact that it exiles instead of destroys is what really makes this card incredible; Persist, Indestructible, Regenerate, Unearth--all of these abilities are negated at no detriment to the caster and no advantage to the player who's losing the creature. The hybrid BW also gives it a devastating synergy with Deathbringer Liege.

Love the card, but something about the art I don't like... Maybe how the Kithkin's eye color clashes with the black and white. Oh well, at least there's the textless player reward version.

My one and only complaint, is the flavor/art. Its not awe, or fear invoking in any way at all. Whats just SO striking about a Kithkin screaming from a mirror with cracked-out green eyes? The art and concept could have been much better, IMO.

I prefer to read this card as "Pay 3: solve target problem."
To me, it's comparable to Vindicate, but can only target creatures...at instant speed. Which one to run? I guess I'll use both.

I'm waiting for an exile revival set. We have a few spells (like Mirror of Fate) but they are more or less useless without a LOT of effort. But once it becomes a theme or sub-theme of a set, we'll probably get things like AWOL outside of an UN-set. :-D

Well costed, great card. I agree the flavor might have ended up more impressive if it had come out at a different time, but the name remains awe-inspiring when you cast it. I was only sad it of course has no synergy with Eradicate for a black exiling stuff deck.
Yet another awesome removal card in Orzhov colors. And best of all, this one's hybrid mana (probably my favorite new mechanic since Imprint).
Vindicate Mortify And now this are all reasons I'm glad Black and White are Blue's "ally colors".
If you don't like this art, check out the textless player rewards version. That has one of my favorite pieces of MtG art ever.
@use643- I would wager it's rated higher than Journey to Nowhere and Fiend Hunter because it's an instant that can't be removed later. Path to Exile is slightly harder to explain, but it's likely because exiling a creature regardless of color is almost unheard of in Black (don't forget this is just as Black as it is White- its mana flexibility is probably another reason for its high rating).
@Lueseto: Because Path is pure white, whereas this can be played in mono black. Black doesn't get a whole lot of exile effects. It's similar to how Harmonize is rated higher than Concentrate.

This has its uses over Path to Exile and Swords to Plowshares. Both exiles give the opponent something in exchange (land and life respectively). If you don't want them to get either of those, then Unmake is a pretty good choice. Still, since they cost 2 less, the other two are better most of the time. 4/5

One of the best removals in the game.... Very flexible on the mana cost with the dual symbols... Strictly better than Oblivion Ring The full art on the promo version is awsome and one of my favorite cards in the entire game.
I love this card.

Why is everyone harping on about Path To Exile? My mono-black Demon deck needs a way to deal with Avacyn without splashing the enemy colour.

Not strictly better than Oblivion Ring, simply reread that card a few times to see why.
...all set? Aside from only working on creatures, Emrakul's "protection from spells" works against this card, but not O-Ring.

@bobth O ring doesn't work on emrakul. It's still a spell.

@maxmwb O-Ring doesn't target while it's a spell. The exile part is a triggered ability, which Emrakul does not have protection from.

4.5/5 for three mana removal, no questions asked. especially in white. the only down sides to this is nixing reanimation, the splash-ability, and the potential to have protection from an additional color.
