Like Nether Traitor, but more splash-able and less awesome. I suppose it is much more relevant in this set because of bloodthirst.

Nice for ensuring you'll get that Bloodthirst bonus.

Nether Traitor had a Whole lot more going for it. This guy is still fun though, and neat with the Thirsty vampires.

Probably designed for getting your Bloodthirst creatures, but it can be a threat on its own, as an unblockable creature. Stick some power-boosting aura or equipment into it.

Y'know, when you've got an unblockable creature, you're probably going to be attacking with it every turn, anyway. Which makes the drawback completely irrelevant.

Ahhhhh Tormented Soul... Reminds me of my DotA days

I've waited like forever for an unblockable one-drop. Now it's there, and i love it :D Not quite sure yet what exactly to do with that poor chap though (aside from Bloodthirst).
I'll remember you buddy, once we will get so see (...i mean, notice, somehow) new Ninjas in future sets.

I love this guy. Works really well with Vampire Outcasts in my (newbie) monoblack deck, but I can see it working well in a lot of stuff, too, particularly with bloodthirst.

Great 1-drop for my Ninja deck. Could also be used as a cheap creature to hold equipment, and to keep bloodthirst active. I really wasn't impressed when I saw this card at first, but it can be very useful if you take advantage of its speed and unblockability (if that's a word :) )

I can vision this as quite an aggressive fella with some assistance. Sword Of War And Peace, Piston Sledge, Lashwrithe or maybe even Dark Favor can give this chappie some zing.

Give him a Darksteel Plate and Worldslayer. Boom.

This seems like a great creature, it could be great with plenty of pumps...also, the "can't block" restriction is generally not a problem, cuz you won't be blocking with him, except in a pinch

Watched someone put some Swiftfoot Boots on this guy and go to town.
Unfortunately for his opponent, he also managed to put Greatsword and Dark Favor.
Yeah, unblockable is insane, no matter what the drawback may be.

This guy is a solid drop for any draft deck really.
I got the promo art of this from a buddy of mine. The artwork is so beautiful. The soul is holding her own screaming head as her robes billow around her.. I love it so much.

Elegant design and a nice nod to shadow.
Also a good card for new players to 'discover' as a combo with other cards. Like a callback to some of the original combos like dwarven warriors + firebreathing + small creature.

I think Wizards often takes the "dumb-down the core sets" thing too far. There's no reason this couldn't have just had shadow.

Reminded me of a cheap Underworld Dreams for some odd reason when it came out. 1 Damage a turn in black with a possibility of more. 4/5!

Tormented Soul is unblockable, and therefore would never want to block.
One day, my friend came to visit me at work (I'm a server) and he sat down at the front counter with a deck of cards. He put a few of them down, Tormented Soul included.
My boss walks by, looking rather bitter as usual. He stops, and looks down at this particular card, and reads:
"Tormented Soul... They named a card after me."
Then he walked away. I've never felt so bad for someone XDD
