For some reason, I feel a strong compulsion to put 4 of these and 4 ring of fire or whatever it was called in a deck... No idea what the heck it could do as a deck, just would be a great 'what the hell are you doing' reaction when I played it.

Terrible for constructed. Surprisingly good for limited! Stops intimidate, all the 2 power aggro creatures, and reduces the flyers to 1 or 0 power!

Surprisingly good in standard since DKA came out. Nullifies Lingering Souls pretty well. Goes in a lot of my sideboards.
If this had Reach and was a 3/3 for 4, it'd be incredible.

Interesting card. A cheaper, more selective version of Cumber Stone on a 2/3 defender. Definitely an irritation for any opponent running fliers (and most decks include at least a few fliers). Good sideboard tech.

Lingering Souls completely countered, numbs Restoration Angel, lives to see the light of day of after a Gesit of Saint Traft to only see a net lose of 3 life from the angel, love having him and a Warden of the Wall stall all the NetDecker's "pros" Delver... Ugh Standard staple for me all honesty.

This and Armored Transport are currently the only creature cards legal in Standard.
Not very nice when Haunted Guardian is the only creature card currently legal in Standard, and it is also a defender. Neither option is great.
